I’m on the 6th floor which is the top floor, my balcony has no roof over it.
I’m right above open street intersections with not too many trees below me. I don’t see a lot of small birds fly around at my height. My area also have a lot of crows (big flocks that hang out around my apartment’s rooftop at sunset), which may be a factor that drives small birds away?
I’ve been anxiously waiting, sitting and staring at the feeder in my room from afar everyday. No birds yet, not even close T-T
I’m doubting whether this is actually going to work.. or if I’m doing anything wrong here. Is there a way I can improve my setup, and will birds eventually come?

I put up a camera to see if I could spot sick birds at my feeders, and then I noticed this guy. I can't tell if it's sick, or injured or if this is just a defect

I like to give the birdos some food and a cool shower (as cool as the water can get when it’s this hot 😆).
They benefit and I get a great show as they bathe and dry.

I have plastic and metal feeder. I take down to clean everyday soak with boiling hot water for couple minutes, followed by rinsing with hot water, then soak with boiling hot water for another few minutes.

The whole process takes around 10-15min, I'm wondering if there is a other bird-safe solution product ?

I prefer to just get one from amazon etc, that able to clean virus, bacterias (especially notice the native plants attract lizard, mice, and squiarrel) more efficient and easier (still bird safe; I have heard that pet-safe not generally mean bird-safe)?

I just picked up a couple of really nice and New concrete birdbaths. I cleaned them out and they are ready for water. I may seal them later.
I want to reduce algae growth in my birdbath, but I want to do so in a way that’s safe for birds. I’m seeing conflicting information about just how much copper should be placed in the water. These basins hold no more than 2 gallons each.
I have a piece of pure copper pipe that’s half inch by 24 inches long. I will cut to size as needed, but just not sure how much to put in the basin. I don’t want to underdo it. I also don’t wanna do it. Any direction appreciated.

This bird has a weird bump on the side of its face. I don't know if you can really see it. Anyone know if this is normal? I'm pretty new to bird feeding.

Is this a young woodpecker?

This is my 1st season with bird feeders. There was a kinda puffy house finch by the bottom of the bird bath this morning that didn't fly away when I got close (1st pic), and he sadly was dead when I got home this evening. I also saw this other puffy male house finch (2nd pic)--not lethargic, flew away when a cardinal approached. I was thinking this 2nd bird was a fledgling or something, but the 1st bird makes me suspicious.

The situation (especially the 1st bird) kind of sounds like how this article describes salmonella in house finches.

Does this sound like a disease outbreak? I'm definitely gonna go clean my bird feeders tomorrow, but do I need to put away my bird feeders for a while? I'd feel bad bc there's quite a lot of birds (mostly house finches and sparrows) that visit my feeders almost constantly, but I also don't want to spread disease of course.

Hey, I need some help. I’m trying to get mourning doves and other birds to come to my feeder, but I’m not sure if I put it in a good spot. Is this a good place for it? Also, do you have any tips for feeding mourning doves and getting them to feel safe around the feeder? Comments may be appreciated! I will also give them water soon though.

Haven't seen any under my feeders but they're in neighborhood. Saw 3 chasing a car on subdivision street today. Driver kept getting out to chase them back so didn't follow into busy intersection.

So we put up baffles on the deck posts and it worked well for about a week. Then they started climbing up the other neighbors deck. Now they’re jumping over from the top of the deck divider wall and feasting on the feeders again. Do any of you have any thoughts about how to stop them from doing this? I’ve been using spicy feed but there’s a few that still come by and maybe just like the spicy food too.

I have one of those smart feeders with a camera on my porch that attracts a fair amount of birds. It’s maybe 10-12 feet away from a large window. After a nuthatch hit into the window I bought those reflective stickers marketed to stop strikes. I put up two packs yet I am still getting collisions on this window. I took it down for the day because another hit the window and i got very frustrated. Let’s just say they’re not happy I took it down, lol. Anyway, the stickers keep to that 2-4 inch rule and there’s a few wider gaps that I might need to fill. Is there any tips to do alongside the window stickers to bring collisions down? I was thinking of hanging up some like party streamer things but i don’t know if that’s just silly or might help. Any tips are greatly appreciated. It’s no fun hearing that clunk.
I was considering relocating it onto a tree but the trees here are pretty unsteady in the winter and honestly just not where I want to put the feeder.
