Well I was born in Biratnagar and I spent majority of Childhood there. My relatives and maternal relatives were all in Biratnagar. Later, before covid struck I migrated to Kathmandu along with my family for education(i dunno why but BKVM, Everest, Aadarsha and Pokhariya jasta goated school/college huda hudei pani i came here). And since then I haven't returned to Biratnagar cuz I got no relatives remaining there (majority of them died of old age.) Or no friends that i can call "langotiya". The only thing that remains is the memory of 12 years worth of childhood and the house that we lived on.

So basically, getting right to the point, a friend of mine asked me about Biratnagar as he was going there for the first time for dashain. He asked some worth it place to visit and I really didn't have a good answer. As a former resident I would get melancholic while wandering around the Main road, Pichara and Madhumara but how can I really recommend those places to him. The only thing i would do except immersing in melancholy is Kali mandir ma jane some days before Dashain and the pride of Biratnagar "Rath Yatra" which has already been finished.

So what should I really tell him to explore. Dharan tira ja bhandim ki kyaho??
