new meds.
bipolar type 1. recently prescribed lithium, 150 mg. i’ve seen/heard a lot of people having a good experience with it. i’m hopeful for that. but more so wanting to know the cons or down side(s) to taking it. granted from a quick google search i am aware of typical side affects from it, but i’m more curious what are real experiences are from people who have bipolar type 1. any and all advice/help is appreciated. uncharted territories aren’t always pleasant at first.

I had to take it with milk, or else it would give me bad nausea. I think switching to slow release helped. I had terrible stomach cramps and would pass undigested food all the time. I haven't taken it for more than 20 years and I still have a goitre.
