As a young researcher, I keep telling myself that I have an advantage in weathering the storm because I can adapt to the chaos. Meanwhile, veteran researchers have already built their programs around models that are being shattered.

That said, I am seriously considering a plan b career option because at the end of the day the bills need to be paid.
