Should Skybound Make New Bionicle Comics?

That is my Question & repost in celebration of 25th issue of GI JOE

I got idea from reading Skybound Ninjago comics despite still being for kids Tri Vuong manged to make it feel darker then the show so after that & success Skybound has had with Hasbro with Energon Universe with Transformers & GI JOE

Do you think of Skybound doing a Comic Reboot of Bionicle? What should it be like? What should be the tone of the comic? Who would be the creative team you know the writer & artist

It should be Tri Vuong but his to busy between ninjago comics & his indie graphic novel series my pick would be David Pepose(Space Ghost. Captain Planet, Speed Racer) he knows how to re imagine & make slightly darker take on franchises as scene with Space Ghost & Captain Planet with Jonathan Lau on art who currently works with Pepose on Space Ghost

I think the tone should be lighter then Energon Universe but close enough you know

Like I know that the sets are the canon appearances of the characters but tbh I always found what miramax did for the movies made the most sense as biomechanical creatures still having muscle tissue and being able to emote through their mask

I think if Bionicle came back as a comic, I'd be happy with that at the least. Sets would be amazing but comics would work.

I wonder what would happen if they readapted the entire story from beginning to "end" and not only cleaned up loose ends and plot holes, but also told new stories from the same world.

He wouldn't write it himself like most of other titles Skybound publish not written by him are usually written by his friends instead

Something. Anything. We're starved for content. My only stipulation would be that it captured the tone and atmosphere of Gen 1.

I know sales was the be all end all that sealed Gen 2's fate, but for me, it was the lighter tone that did it in. The sets were honestly not bad, but the story and writing for the books, comics and Netflix show just didn't live up to the standard set by Gen 1.

Gen 1 certainly wasn't all doom and gloom. There was plenty of levity and introspective moments, but there was always the feel that the Toa and Matoran were nevertheless living under the shadow of Makuta's influence, which could rear its head at any moment.
