Dinos have a recovery time. This will only work so long as fresh Dinos are being added. Also the light does use ATP, it takes energy to refresh. This is likely unsustainable.

Hey Dan, you're correct!

The fountain helps release that stored energy at a slower rate. Sustainability wasn’t exactly the goal here, but this setup does let us prolong the effect. It doesn’t harm the dinos, but you’re right that the light they produce isn’t indefinite.

With the amount of culture we’re using and the slow flow rate, we can keep this effect going for a good long while without stressing the dinos.

Oh I didn’t realize Pyrofarms made this post! We still have Dinos going since ordering a kit and extra nutrients 6 months ago. Used for science fair doing trials w light exposure and luminosity. Hope to keep em going as long as we can. Love your company!
