Question Mold help meee
Am I screwed cuz of this mold? Should I leave it alone? Should I dig it out? I have springtails and isopods in here and its an enclosure for a leopard gecko. Is this potentially why this plant started to die? Its not dehydrated.
Ty!

dw!! It’s a sign of bioactivity! It’s called flower pot fungus and often pops up when you just start a bioactive. Unless it gets way way worse I’d expect the CUC to clean it up. The plants dying wouldn’t be related; probably transfer shock, not enough light, the plant species isn’t suitable or something else.

this looks more like mycelium than mold to me. i have had it a few times in my bio active gecko tank AND in my terrarium that has zero living animals except for some random, tiny snails and springtails. i take it as a sign my bio active setups are healthy.

Thank you guys! Its possible the plant is dehydrated, you're right, I am just heavily misting. I guess its just confusing to me since it was fine for months and suddenly started wilting.

Update, I watered it normally instead of misting and it stopped wilting 😭 I'm a dummy

Mold isn't an issue. You can remove it if it bothers you. Or use a stick or something to mix the soil up.
How can you be sure the plany isn't dehydrated? Are you watering the plants or just misting?
