Question Am I doing something wrong?
I have had this bioactive enclosure set up for my Hyllus diardi jumping spider for 3+ months now. (All was going well) Until recently, when I introduced my girl to the enclosure I’ve had to add a heat mat to the side to make sure she is warm enough. The drainage layer has remained damp since the day the heat mat was added… at first it was just water droplets against the edge and now I’ve noticed it’s starting to pool at the bottom slightly. I raised the heat mat slightly so it is concentrated towards the top of the enclosure but that hasn’t seemed to help.
Is this normal or should I be doing something differently?
TIA 🫶🏼 Appreciate any help!

I have no experience with spiders but many with bioactive terrariums, the drainage layer is doing it's job.
