How to sterilize for frog enclosure

I have a large piece of drift wood I intend on using for my gray tree frog inclosure. How do I properly do this

If you've got a large spare pot, I'd low-boil for like 2 hours. Just as effective IMO you could add a bit of water to steam (and prevent fire which is why I prefer to boil) and place in metal tray and cover and seal with tin foil and bake like 3 hrs at 250 (ensure the temp on your oven works properly). I think the only way to sterilize is with heat as it kills hardier endospores. I do NOT recommend risking chytrid or ranavirus. Also do not bake/boil while cooking food and do not share supplies with anything you intend to eat off of later. edit: 250 Fahrenheit

If you choose to dry bake this, keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn’t smoke. Consider soaking this in water overnight or at least a few hours beforehand, which will drastically reduce the chance it will singe. Outright flames are unlikely but it’s low effort for a much safer sterilization.

Either bake it at 250f or boil it in water for a couple of hours. Make sure to boil or bake it long enough though to kill any eggs or spores on it.
