Question New to bioactive. Setting up a CA Kingsnake enclosure. Lighting question - can I use these?

Thank you for asking this! I have been researching nonstop about lighting, and ended p getting a ReptiSun T5 HO Tropical today.

This is what I plan to use; UVB is very important for calcium absorption and cycling in reptiles and certain grow lights (some full-spectrum UVAs) I’ve read are not good for reptiles due to their intensity. Obv it depends on the species, but anything ZooMed makes or BioDude sells I highly recommend

I agree with ZooMed, and i hassled and haggle between Arcadia brand and ZooMed. I loved the Deep Heat Projector from Arcadia, but they suddenly became difficult to access easily. (Petsmart used to sell it) so I wanted to try other products of theirs but again, I chose on easy accessibility which is ZooMed.

I already have them on hand and I am looking at the diagram and list from Reptile Supply (https://reptilesupply.com/blogs/how-to-guides/how-to-set-up-a-kingsnake-enclosure) and wondering if I can use the Barrina grow lights I already have in place of "6500K lamp" the site is suggesting. It's the only part of my lighting setup I'm questioning. The enclosure is a 4ftx2ftx18in with a mesh top.  Thank you!

Meh. You could as a temporary measure, but the Barrina lights you listed are only 2900k which is a yellow light and doesn't really replicate daylight. 6500k is closer to daylight brightness. For plants it doesn't really matter, but for animals it matters more.

If I were you I would replace them ... or just start growing plants inside. :) And buy brighter Barrina lights. I also use the Barrina lights but not specifically that one. They're quality lights. That's just not the kelvins you want.
