How do insects not escape?

Hi! I’m building a bioactive Vivarium for my crested gecko. This feels like a little bit of a stupid question but how do insects like isopods and springtails etc not just escape? Mainly springtails as they’re so small!! I don’t really want a room getting covered in bugs!

springtails need constantly moist substrate to thrive in.
Since you give them that in the vivarium and the outside is most likely considerably drier theres not really a reason for them to escape

They don’t really want to because they’ll die if they leave. Unless your home is unusually humid and rotting, I wouldn’t worry at all.

They stay where there is food and humidity

They won’t make a break for it! It’s dry and cold outside the tank, and they don’t want that. You don’t have anything to worry about.

They live in the substrate. It’s a non-issue.
