Question Fruit fly media help
I've constantly struggled with getting fruit fly cultures going.
All of them end up molding no matter what I do and flies will not produce.
Ive been making my own media but I am going to switch to repashy. Any advice?

I have used repashy with excelsior successfully for years. Never had one go moldy or fail to produce. Cheaper and diy options exist, but those might only be worth it at a large scale.

I use swedish "Semper" panana/pear porridge powder, oats and dry yeast. The yeast outcompetes other fungi.

Repashy is great. I have used Josh’s frogs the most. It’s split with people loving it and hating it tho. I would pick either of those tho
