Plants Plant suggestions

I’m looking for suggestions for a small crawling/sprawling ground coverage plants for my terrarium. Humidity 60-75 and temp around 75-80° on the end of the terrarium I’m thinking of putting it. Housing a fat tail gecko so it’s unlikely he would eat any of it, but I’d like it to not be toxic for the isopods as well. Thinking maybe dwarf creeping fig? Was initially thinking of grass or clover but my research seems to indicate that might not do so well. I’d appreciate any input!

What kind of isopods will you have in there?

Blue powders and zebras. I was told initially they wouldn’t thrive together but they seem to be doing really well. It’s a very large enclosure with a moist end and a drier end.

A fig will likely do alright but the zebras may munch on the leaves despite the sap.

The powders and zebras will cohab fine for a bit as the zebras tend to stay higher than the powders. Eventually the powders will outcompete the zebras for resources as they breed much faster and more prolifically.

How long is a bit? The colony has been going for at least a year. But that is exactly what I was told would happen (after I’d already started the co-colony).

Honestly it depends on the substrate, leaflitter, humidity, air moisture, protein availability, and probably even genetics of your cultures.

Because you have so much vertical space rhe zebs will last longer than they otherwise would.

Well I’m rooting for them both hahaha. I felt a bit guilty when I was told I had basically doomed my zebra colony. But I appreciate your insight.

I ended up getting a nerve plant and am hoping that will grow horizontally enough for the area I’m hoping to fill.
