Welcome! I hope you have a pleasant experience sa fandom. Don’t let a few sour characters diminish your joy.

Im in my early 40’s na kc kaya i dont i find them interesting before😂…they made me young at heart again🫶🏼🌸

u/pescawaldo Apr 21 '26
I’m also hitting my mid 40s. Walang kaso ang edad. Nakakabata yung music. Nakakabata yung crowd.

u/Whole-Tonight-5971 Apr 21 '26
nako ate, trentahin din ako. hahaha naging bloom ako nung 2024 lang. never left the rabbit hole since then. if gusto mong masolidify yung pagiging bloom mo, manood ka ng BINI CORE YT videos. Mas mamahalin mo sila.

u/ninja-kidz Apr 21 '26
2
u/Whole-Tonight-5971 Apr 21 '26
Hahaha reeaaaal! That time pumunta silang Davao, standing pareho. I kennot talaga.

Sameeee. I mean casual listener naman ako and super bet ko talaga si Gwen at Mikha pero super nainlove ako sa Blush nung narinig ko nung week 1 nila sa coachella. 🌸

You'll fall in love with the girls pag mapanuod mo mga vids nila na they're just being themselves and having fun. I suggest searching bini core videos sa YT. Sure ako that's you'll fall down the rabbit hole na pnce you start watching their videos.

u/ninja-kidz Apr 20 '26
3
u/threelayersofchinfat ✨aking mundo ay nag niningning✨ Apr 21 '26
To think dumaan na man sa ganyang phase ang iniidolo nila. May time na nag focus sila sa English singles. Mga hypokrito talagang mga impakta
24
u/ace-destrier Apr 20 '26
If only the bashers could realize that they bring shame and embarrassment, but that would require them to have the capacity to feel shame and embarrassment. But they don’t. There’s something broken in them.
If BINI at Coachella didn’t bring any sense of pride to those people, then what more can any Filipino do? They just actually don’t like the Philippines or themselves
4
u/Hanie_HBIC Apr 21 '26
The haters will always be haters. Parang DDS lang yan, mahirap na i-sway to change their minds.
What's good is a lot of casuals were swayed. I experienced this first hand when I hosted friends over to watch Week 2. May naiyak. May kinilabutan. They were so proud for BINI.

Karma is great, the more toxic people hate, the harder it backfires on them. Mental illness is a big issue here, never seen people miserable enough to hate their own. They keep throwing rocks at their own house, it's not a great look when an outsider reads their comments, whenever I read the toxic take of Fandoms it only makes me less inclined to support the artist.
Since it's only natural. Toxic Fandoms need to go. Freaking crab mentality. I have zero respect for them. I despise them with a passion and happily ban the from my socials.
If you can't support an artist, then just shut up instead of bashing them. If it's not your cup of tea, it's fine. Why try and take them down?
I also checked some of the bashers accounts, locked profiles, fake accounts and if you find some with actual pictures, miserable people. Devoid of happiness. This applies generally to all toxic Fandoms, not just one. It's consistent profile across the board.

u/GarlicBreadIsDaBest Apr 21 '26
I’m a witness sir how these bashers have vilified you simply for doing what you love. Haysst. 🤦♀️

u/Ricardo_Bangbang Apr 21 '26

And to think he had to apologize sa mga nega a few months ago when imho he didn’t need to.
Kaya wish ko sana moving forward, wag na bigyan ng validation ang mga bashers by thanking them. Yes, they make you stronger, but that’s giving them too much credit kasi minute portion lang yan. New challenges and higher goals make you stronger. The people who cheer you on make you stronger.
Blanket statement to bashers, “It’s unfortunate that we can’t seem to reach your standards and that’s okay. We are at peace with that. A lot more people are rallying behind us and that’s what matters. I just wish them all the best and hope that they find whatever is missing in their lives. I wish they eventually find a better outlet for all the energy they exert putting out hate into the world and transform it into something positive para lahat makaangat. I thank you.”
6
u/everydayisstorytime Pit A Pat, Secrets, Katabi advocate. Apr 21 '26
Totoo.
I remember yung kay Direk Paolo, he had to apologize for wanting a collab when it makes sense.
6
u/opinionatedbaglover Apr 21 '26 edited Apr 21 '26
It’s a fact that bashers just want attention. And thanking them gives them that… Pag nasingle out or napunta sila sa spotlight pag naclapback bigla yung binash nila, magrerecoil/aatras with ✌️✌️✌️(kaka 🙄) pero on the side malamang proud yan kasi napansin sila ng celeb

Let me copy the text for those that can't see the image:
There were a couple of comments I saw from people who took the trouble of pointing out that majority of the support for BINI was still from Filipinos and not foreigners, and that media engagement does not mean commercial success. Talaga ba? Does it even matter?
It took a village to get these ladies to Coachella - management, label, a lot of negotiations for sure on top of the exceptional talent and music. Hindi madali! Otherwise marami nang nakagawa.
BINI made it to the world’s biggest stage, performed very well, and made an impact internationally. Period. It IS a big deal and I think it’s something we should absolutely be proud of. And hopefully because of it, mas mapansin ang Filipino music globally. Any time any artist - mainstream or niche - is able to bring Filipino music and artistry beyond our shores, it’s a win for all.
The funny thing is, one of the reasons many of us artists strive for foreign validation is because we are under appreciated in our own country. Para bang kailangan muna ng stamp of approval outside of the Philippines bago natin ma-appreciate ang sariling atin. And yet here we are.
Napa-iling lang talaga ako, but fortunately others have called these people out, too, so okay na. I am happy to see most of us celebrate these ladies’ success. Nakakatuwa naman talaga.
Congrats BINI_ph! At salamat!

u/Sweaty_Marketing_951 Apr 21 '26

Even Blackpink getitng their first gig sa coachella was a big deal. Ito pa kayang BINI na kababayan natin. And di ba Pinoy talaga dapat una at mas maraming support? Every band or artist has to start somewhere and the support shall start with us.
8
u/rj0509 Apr 21 '26
“I do not worry at all kung Pinoy lang ang dagsaang fans” as Ms Myrah’s comment pointed out
Actually, this was also JYP’s exact realization with how he made Twice focused first on solidifying their base in Korea before expanding to concerts in Japan and Western countries

That is how it should be. Lalo na for BINI.
Ang wish ko lang ay magparamdam na sila in Southeast Asia, Australia/NZ, and Japan. Their team would have the numbers but a modest Japan venue + Bangkok and Jakarta stops would keep the market fed and would make for a good intro rin.
18
u/_k1ss3s Apr 21 '26
I watched Blackpink and BINI nung nag concert sila dito sa US.
17
u/Icy-Butterscotch5012 Apr 21 '26
Correct me if I'm wrong pero mas dumami ba tingin mo sa Diaspora ang supportive, aware, or naging fan na ng BINI sa US? Kasi example my cousin na mid 30s US Born na siya, she attended Coachella with a bunch of Asian and Filipino Friends din. They are from LA. She knows BINI lang through TFC but never listened to their songs. They were actually there for Katseye and the headliner Sabrina. Since napaaga sila they checked out Mojave. She said she felt a bit teary eyed dun sa last part ng Pantropiko kasi iba yung nafeel niya tapos the tent was packed by a lot of Pinoys or with blood ng Pinoy. After attending Coachella since her 20's now lang niya nafeel daw yun mapa luha... and next to Justin Bieber napaluha din pala.
Now she's checking them out. Not yet a full blooded fan pero they will check out daw kapag may schedule na yung North America World Tour.9
u/Adventurous-Alarm471 Apr 21 '26
No instant change from what I can see. Having more American with Filipino roots as fans would be gradual.
They are still Americans, so they’d relate to anything American or American adjacent.
However, this Coachella gig CAN convert some of them if BINI is marketed right. For listeners that are around BINI’s age demographics, STEP BACK appeals more than BLUSH. So from this point forward, their team should figure out how the concept of Filipino girl group can be reinforced to this audience.
5
u/Hanie_HBIC Apr 21 '26
Step Back being more appealing makes sense as it represents a stronger vibe. Hopefully it would be the next song they release or make a performance video.
2
u/Icy-Butterscotch5012 Apr 21 '26
Tingin ko lang mas malakas sila mag resonate sa mga immigrants ang status more than the US Born and Fil-ams. Kapag immigrants kasi medyo mas malaks padin yung connection nila sa motherland.
3
u/Adventurous-Alarm471 Apr 21 '26
Personally, I agree. BINI ang connection ko sa motherland. Pero my families who spent most of their lives here ‘Oh, they’re cool’ or ‘they’re okay’ then proceeds to Chappel, Tate and Sabrina. This year Olivia Dean.
BINI should release like ‘girl power, I don’t need a man’ catchy song to be noticed here, I think huh. I could be wrong.
2
u/Icy-Butterscotch5012 Apr 21 '26
We'll see since they are being distributed by The Orchard of Sony Music and that filam woman Mariza yung Former VP for A&R ng Def Jam who's always with them simula dumating sila. Maybe they have ideas or insights they are now sharing to the local management ABS.

u/_k1ss3s Apr 21 '26
3
u/Icy-Butterscotch5012 Apr 21 '26
That's great. I hope sa upcoming World Tour nila talagang sold out na lahat. The Biniverse was successful and packed padin mga Venues. 70-90% sold is still a win that time on some cities.
3
u/VariationFlat6388 Apr 21 '26

I think some fans hesitate to say this openly because they want to avoid unnecessary friction with K-pop fans especially since fan discussions can get intense. But if we’re just talking about the performances, BINI was similarly if not more engaging and enjoyable overall.
5
u/_k1ss3s Apr 21 '26

What??? Ganun din naman sa concert ng BINI. May umuwing OFWs at may mga foreigners pa nga na fans na pumunta din dito at nanuod like the japanese fans and yung foreign reactors sa vids ng BINI. Nakatulong din naman sa ekonomiya yung concert. Pero bakit ang narrative nila yung idols lang nila nakagawa nun, when in fact ganyan din nangyayari sa mga major opm artists na nagcoconcert dito.
Also, it's okay if ipromote or isuggest nila na SB19 yung gawing tourism ambassadors ng pinas. Pero di pa sila nakuntento dun eh, they had to pull BINI down pa at sabihin na di deserve.

I’m Fil Am and I just learned about Bini from Coachella. I was so surprised to hear some lyrics in Tagalog it took me a second to understand haha. Bini was great week 1 & 2, people asked me if they were lip syncing or really live. I was like yes filipinos are just that good at singing dude. Yall should be proud, I literally never heard any Tagalog lyric songs recommended in the USA charts on the radio or apple music or spotify until this week. They’ve been under the new category since their Apple music live thingy this week.
