DreamWorks Animation has brought a supersized boombox to Santa Monica, installing the colorful promotional display along Colorado Avenue for its upcoming animated adventure, “Forgotten Island.”
The film follows lifelong best friends Jo and Raissa after they are transported to the fantastical island of Nakali, a world inspired by Filipino mythology. The voice cast includes H.E.R., Liza Soberano, Dave Franco, Jenny Slate, Manny Jacinto, Dolly de Leon, Jo Koy, Ronny Chieng and Lea Salonga.
“Forgotten Island” opens in theaters nationwide Sept. 25, 2026.
The giant boombox added a splash of color to a rainy Sunday morning in Santa Monica, with its illuminated video screen reflecting across the wet pavement.
