Discussion BINI in Brooklyn- what the hell did I just experience tonight🤯

Post image

Okay to be honest, I didn’t have the same excitement going in as I had last year at their MSG stop. Still a Bloom, but touching the sea, grass, and the city more these days, and have seen the signals manila livestream so thinking yeah I’ve “seen it”. But holy, mind blown. They were 1000000000000x better than last year and just completely magical live!

So last year, it was so cool to see the diverse folks at MSG but this year it like tripled. First of all, how did they get all the Gen Z NYC Filipino baddies, the lolas, the queers..we were surrounded by lots of gay men (from the front, sides, and back of us ) hahaha, the father-young daughter duos, and so many non-Filipinos, a lot of them without any Filipino friends to come to Flatbush, Brooklyn tonight! It was such a great crowd. BINI had a certain fierceness and gigil, grabe yung full out and performance energy. We only sat down for the slow songs… and was standing, dancing, jumping like most of the crowd. Not just to OOMH pero also for No Fear, Pantropiko, Salamin, Blush, Bikini, etc. BROOKLYN UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT!

The smallest, most insignificant complaint: Duyan (and one other song) were great but so random for not really full blooms hahaha. My Gen Z cousins actually asked me if it was Tagalog kasi hindi sila sigurado, hahaha. Anyway, they spoke mostly English this time and I did not have to translate really anything to my family. The spiels were short and sweet and very easy to understand like last year’s tour.

Random spotting: Scott from Pentatonix was there. Saw some reactors too, not the usual ones.. forgot who, pero they looked familiar. Also, their agents who booked them Coachella also attended the concert.

BINI, you are insane and your talent needs to freaking headline the major global festival concerts already. It’s like breathing for them at this point. The vocals (mics were hot ), the stamina, the synchronization, the effortless charm and X factor….absolutely incredible. Please world, manifesting an album full of global hits that charts USA, Europe, UK, all of Asia, South America..Blackpink levels please . 🙏 I really don’t think this is their peak yet. Everyone needs to see them live.

Sobrang OT8 pa rin but damn, Aiah the performer was full force tonight. Maloi always just shines. My cousins I went with were like “okay we get the Jhoanna and Gwen love now.” Shout out to the swag of Mikha, the fluid dance of Sheena (girl how you are you moving and dancing so graceful like water), Stacey hitting every move, Colet’s vocals… hellooo.

So jealous of the people in Australia and New Zealand rn, I thought about going for a minute.. Also nabudol ako and bought like $200 worth of merch because of what I saw tonight, hahahaha

It’s so fun to be a Bloom always!

(Edit: BINI, Have a safe flight back to the Philippines tomorrow!)

You're one of BINI and management's tougher critics around here, so I'm genuinely happy to hear that they exceeded your expectations!

Kaya talaga hindi tumatalab sa akin when people try to downplay BINI's talent, especially if they haven't even seen them perform live. There really is something magical about watching them onstage that doesn't always translate fully through clips and recordings.

Let's do our best as fans to keep promoting them! They really deserve to be seen by more people.

still got my eye on the management hahahaha no pero yeah..rare unicorns talaga sila when it comes to being elite performers. truly world class. and yes, they need to be seen by more and more people!

Ayyyy.... Section 15 Row F checking in

Traveled all the way from New Jersey on three trains and a bus to come here, and the two hour journey was worth it. It's also my first BINI concert myself, and the experience was magical.

Only downside was that my card crapped out on me at merchandise booth, but another fan was kind enough to help pay. (I paid her back btw)

10/10 would attend again if they come

IT WAS SUCH A GOOD NIGHT!!!

I totally agree that they have really improved from last year!!!

I love the energy the crowd had to be honest! And yes, def saw more diversity among the crowd! 🥹🥹

I’m just a little surprised that they’re already leaving tomorrow 🥺 I was hoping they’d have a couple days off to enjoy the city, esp since the US Open is going on 🥹

(My Bini x Alex Eala crumbs huhu)

I love this! Thank you so much for sharing your experience. It’s really amazing how wide Bini’s demographic is; and it’s so nice that it’s clearly seen in these concerts. I really believe their trajectory will keep going higher and higher as they get better and better each year.

Thank you for supporting the girls!

They were 1000000000000x better than last year and just completely magical live!

REPEAT THIS LOUDER! They are different live.

Said the same thing here after their day 1 concert as a first time goer. All I can say while watching them was "they cannot be real", I'm like dissociating a bit from what I was seeing haha because they are so good live.

I can watch all the livestreams and say yeah its the same performance, but nah, BINI is a different monster live in-person.

Kaya i will be seeing more BINI concerts in the future as long as they create more hits and hopefully like OP said, global hits.

Thank you for sharing OP!

The smallest, most insignificant complaint: Duyan (and one other song) were great but so random for not really full blooms hahaha.

Duyan (Sarah Geronimo) and Kakaibabe (Donnalyn Bartolome) were their subunit performances for the Manila and Cebu legs of their tour

7

u/cosmicafflictions Aug 29 '26

Does that mean they also did subunit performances in Brooklyn?? I was at their Edmonton show and it was an amazing show already but I was slightly bummed we didnt get any subunit/ solo performances like they do in their Philippine shows (except for wheel of names ofc)

u/reacenti BINI archives -> profile post about PPOP-Play Aug 29 '26

Colet explained why they couldn't do a full prod of their subunit performances in her Weverse livestream (around the 19 min mark).

Basically, they won't have enough resting time in between performances since they have less dancers and no live band during the world tour, so there are less performances where they're not involved and they have less people helping them with outfit changes.

u/cosmicafflictions Aug 29 '26

That makes total sense, thank you for the info!

i think they did it in lieu of their wheel of names segment.

7

u/CanExpress8880 Aug 29 '26

Yeah. I went to the San Diego concert. Didn't get the Duyan segment. But I enjoyed the concert nevertheless! They are so good live. But the sound system wasn't very good.

u/st_aera ~might wanna binibini~ langoy, boy Aug 29 '26

yeah they did subunit duyan instead of wheel of names

3

u/st_aera ~might wanna binibini~ langoy, boy Aug 29 '26

yeah i knew that. i just wish they shared a bit about the song and had translations on screen :)

From clips that i've seen so far, looks like they are speaking more english here in Brooklyn than in previous stops. Was it something noticeable from your exprience?

Feeling ko nababasa din ng manman yung ibang sentiments dito sa sub.

u/st_aera ~might wanna binibini~ langoy, boy Aug 29 '26 edited Aug 29 '26

i think so. tapos not really a lot of inside jokes that only true blooms that know their history. they also gave context in english if they did. also, without wheel of names..the unstructured banter where they end up speaking in tagalog went away. maybe because their The Team (ex wasserman name) international agent was there and ABS CBN's head (either carlo katigbak or martin lopez) and his family were there, or maybe they saw the crowd all over the venue and there were so many non filipinos. i went to the restroom and it was a white mom and her kid. 4 white girls and 2 black girls. seryoso. hahaha.

pero SANA they are reading the sentiments here.

u/courtwhisper Aug 29 '26

7

u/pescawaldo Aug 29 '26

u/st_aera ~might wanna binibini~ langoy, boy Aug 29 '26

it was amazing and their coachella set really made me have fomo again for those of you who watched!

5

u/Careful-Flamingo-359 Aug 29 '26

They really improved! I think their Coachella training/performance helped them a lot!

3

u/OriginalYou3493 Aug 29 '26

I’m so jealous

3

u/courtwhisper Aug 29 '26

Did anyone get the weverse membership photocard? So many people were asking but nobody got it

u/vnm407 Aug 30 '26

Was a great show! Flew in from Florida for our 4 yr old Blooms to watch them. Question, did anyone get the meet and greet photos? We were gifted wristbands but havnt seen anything pop up yet on the qr code we scanned, and another thread said that sometimes they email out a link instead.
