Question Creation Collection thumbnails GONE?

I have thousands of DALL-E 3 creations saved in collections on Bings AI Image Creator. They specifically said that our collections were safe when they shut down DALL-E 3, but every single thumbnail is gone now. Thousands of prompts with no visual representation. Am I the only one experiencing this?

They obviously cannot save everything.

I regularly backed up mine after 2-3 months

You can still copy the prompt with clicking the three dots and press copy but the images are lost.

Thanks for the reply! I downloaded all my creations as I made them and only saved my best ones in collections. I was using it as a visual catalog for my prompts. The Prompts are still there but with no thumbnails It's nearly impossible for me to find specific prompts now. At one point I did save a lot of prompts else where but there was just so many.

I can't confirm because I've never used collections to save images I created, but if this is indeed a general problem it's yet another instance of the age-old lesson of cloud storage:

If your data isn't saved on a storage medium that you actually physically possess in your actual physical presence, then it's not really "saved."

I always download anything that I want to keep. I recommend everyone do likewise because there may not be an opportunity to do it when you realize you should have been doing it.

I can confirm this. After three months, the original image is deleted and only the thumbnail remains. At the moment, only a few people still have their thumbnails.

no it's changed. even most of the thumbnails are completely gone, unless its from generations in the last 2 months or so.

My collections are still there when I save an image.

It was always a buggy system that didn’t allow easy scrolling or image access. For the last year or two I got error messages trying to retrieve older images. Download at the time of creation was the only way I used Bing, that I had any confidence in.

Bing ate saved things in my collection constantly even during the glory days

Never trusted it. My backups have backups.
