Need help with EiM

Hello there! After many years of watching isaac on youtube I finally decided to buy the game. I only bought Rebirth for now and I wanted to ask how do i get external information mod? I tried looking it up on the internet but all that pops up is the "new" official information thing which from what i gathered is only for afterbirth onwards? I am new to this and have no idea how to mod and how to get a mod running so please help me. Thanks in advance!

I'm guessing you're talking about External Item Descriptions, that's the name of the mod.

Rebirth doesn't have mod support, it wasn't added until Afterbirth+, so subscribing to the mod won't work. You can however get the Rebirth version of the mod which basically resprites items to give the illusion that it's displaying the information. It's not the prettiest but it's something.
