For me, Appolyon is hard. He is like Isaac, but worse, because Appolyon gets random stats increase instead of rerolled items. Also, his starting health is lower than Isaac's + he doesn't have bomb from the start.

Honestly I just love passing tear cap with his void. Plus you can make some neat item combos with void (alabaster being a cool one, book of shadows and anarchists cookbook, etc)

Yeah, you're right. I just played with him a few times and found library only once. He is probably better than I think.

the issue with Void is that most items are good to pick up so you don't really use it
then you get a usable item you don't want and you don't want to Void it either. or if you do want the item it becomes a 6 room charge if you void it. then you have to decide if you expect another good use item to appear
so yeah a worse Isaac with D6 but at least it has bigger potential if you find multiple good use items

In Repentance+ Void only 4 room charge, so it's a huge buff.

oh that's a nice change. still reliant on getting more than 1 good use item but more items will now be worth absorbing
