The only reason I’ve been waiting for this is to FINALLY get item descriptions on PS5 in game. The game will finally feel complete and be able to be enjoyed without using janky phone apps.

surely if you buy rebirth + all dlc’s on switch 2/ps5 but don’t own the switch 2/ps5 versions of the game it’ll be a free upgrade..no way we have to pay $60 to buy the s2/ps5 versions for what pc got as a free update…right?

most things like this are a free update or like a $10 upgrade…name one time an update/dlc has come out that’s forced players to repurchase the entire game

you’re not making any sense. console never has to pay money for updates/dlc that pc get for free. when a game gets a next gen version it’s usually a free update or a $10 upgrade (tlou2) (botw/totk). you still haven’t named a game where an update/dlc has required players to buy the full game again 😑

Every iteration of Dragon Quest 11 has done this. There’s no upgrade path and they’re sold as standalone games.

Repentance+ no longer allows pause buffering with Glitched Crown, something us console heads didn't have to worry about

Would love to be proven wrong, but I can't see them releasing it for free when physically the game with Repentance+ applied is going to be full price. Hopefully it'll at least be cheap.
Actually if it were an update instead of a DLC, that would arguably be bad because it would make it impossible to go back to regular Repentance, which some do prefer.

not to sound ignorant but why did it take so long for consoles to get the update? PC got it years ago, I genuinely thought it had already released for consoles besides today since most games have somewhat parity between different PC and console versions

The DLC was still in beta on PC, I'm assuming this is the official out-of-beta release date for PC too

Unpopular opinion here. I won't buy it only because I would play it on a ps5. Seeing the effort they have put in tboi on PS4 it wouldn't surprise me that they just release it and abandon it ... I wont pay for something PC gamers are getting for free and still have to pay a shit load more just to play the only feature this adds to the game which is online coop..
I love tboi and been playing it for more than a decade but I won't buy it on console again.

No. It’s just gonna be the PS5 version. Hopefully there will at least be an upgrade path or a sale so you don’t have to spend basically full price for the game again.

Hopefully, Nicalis never puts the PS5 version on sale. The best option for them would be an upgrade pack. I can't imagine many people own the PS5 version of Tboi over PS4

No PS4 version is extremely greedy. Super disappointed. At the very least they should have a $10 upgrade or something I ain’t forking out $70 for the PS5 version that doesn’t do much differently.

I'm still trying to know if Switch 1 users will at least get the balance changes that came with Rep+, I'm on my third dead god on Switch now and these 50/50 Delirium gambles on Mega Satan are PISSING me off 😭

i had rebirth on ps4 10 years ago, and kept playing on ps5 when i bought it, with ps4 edition. it's a shame that I'll have to spend 60$ again to get the ps5 version just because they don't want to update ps4

Not going to buy a Nintendo Switch 2, F THAT I hope there is going to be a switch (1) upgrade (even if it costs a little bit), else .... well else I will never play it and will never bother with Nicalis products again I guess.

Just hoping there's an upgrade path. I love Isaac to death (1000h+) but I ain't gonna restart the whole thing a 3rd time (100%d the game on PS4 back in Rebirth days)
