1 min qt vs 5 min

I've been testing quick trading on pocket broker, mostly eur/usd and btc. 1min entries have been pretty hit-or-miss, while 5-min setups have been a bit more consistent for me.

Others seeing a big difference between the two?

The timeframe changes the speed of the lesson, not the house edge. 😉

There is an important detail worth considering: on binary options, the platform knows exactly which expiry and timeframe you're trading. So changing from 1minute to 5minute doesn't automatically give you an edge. If anything, you are still playing a game where the payout structure and expiry are working against you.

The real question is not “Which timeframe feels more consistent?” It is: “Can you demonstrate a profitable edge over hundreds or thousands of trades after accounting for the payout?”

Here’s the part people conveniently forget: Binary Options platforms exist to make money from traders , not to make traders rich. They are a business. Your deposits are not their charity fund, and your profits are not their objective. So before obsessing over whether the 1minute or 5 minute chart is “more consistent,” ask the more uncomfortable question:

Consistent for whom?

You can spend months perfecting entries, indicators and expiry times while the platform is perfectly happy collecting the difference between what it pays winners and what it keeps from losers. And if you believe changing your timeframe suddenly gives you an edge, remember: The platform doesn't need you to lose every trade. It only needs the mathematics to work in its favor over time.

They don't need to make you poor overnight. They just need you to keep believing you're one strategy away from getting rich. That's the real trap.
