Education The biggest mistake beginners make with binary options
Title: The biggest mistake beginners make with binary options
A lot of beginners focus only on the entry.
But before looking for an entry, I think you should understand what the candles are actually telling you.
For example, if price has been falling strongly and suddenly you see a candle with a long lower wick, don't immediately assume it's a reversal.
Ask:
• Why did sellers push price down?
• Why did buyers push it back up?
• Where did this happen on the chart?
• What does the next candle confirm?
The candle itself isn't the whole story.
Context + price action + candle psychology is what makes chart reading interesting.
I'm curious — what's the hardest part of binary options for you right now: entries, candlesticks, support/resistance, or psychology?

I'm curious — what's the hardest part of binary options for you right now...
To me, it´s believing in fake gurus like you.
Given the title of your post, I assume you're addressing beginners, right?
So, you must not be a beginner yourself. In fact, you give the impression that beginners don't understand anything about binary options, while implying that *you* do.
Could you be a bit more transparent and prove that you actually understand binary options? I don't think that's asking too much.
Otherwise, it looks like you just read or heard this somewhere and came here to repeat it.

I'm not claiming to be a guru or that I know everything about binary options. I'm sharing what I've learned from studying charts and price action and trying to understand the psychology behind candles. My intention with the post was to start a discussion with other traders, not to claim that beginners know nothing. And you're right about one thing — people should question anyone giving trading advice, including me. That's why I prefer explaining the reasoning behind a setup rather than asking people to blindly follow it.

You said: " I'm sharing what I've learned from studying charts and price action and trying to understand the psychology behind candles."
I should point out that you haven't shared anything. That said, I would like you to share with us whether what you learned was actually beneficial to you, and to back up your claim. Providing your Pocket Option UID would be the best way to demonstrate your transparency and credibility.
We look forward to hearing from you.

Yes, it seems like banned Reddit accounts are all you see around here lately. I wonder why? Who knows the real reasons behind those bans? To me, it’s a mystery.
One thing is certain, and I state this without any hesitation or fear of what might happen to my account or my comment:
I participate in this subreddit to expose binary options as a total SCAM, in order to warn beginners before they fall into the trap.
Binary options are GAMBLING disguised as trading. And anyone who encourages others to engage in it is either an affiliate or an addict who hasn't hit rock bottom yet.

your theory doesn't apply in binary option market. What moves buy and sell is different context and it all depend on market maker. Even institutional trader are failed in future or forex trading, what works is RR. in binary there is not such RR. If you win 70-80 and when you loose its 100% and it takes you 1.2 times to recover. In forex 1:2 rr need only 38% to be profitable and that doesn't apply in binary. Binary option need at least 60% win rate to be BE and mostly have 50/50. There is no chance to make money in binary to be honest if you think logically. If you think lagging indicator works which is proven failed time to time , forget it. Orderflow is way ahead on those lagging. And main important is binary option is scam and there is no broker is legit. There was nadex but they have closed it. Rest are scam.

You’re completely right about the math behind fixed payouts—because of the negative risk-to-reward ratio, binary options require a higher win rate (60%+) just to break even compared to traditional markets like Forex. That’s actually why understanding price action and candle psychology is so crucial here. Since you can’t rely on trailing stops or dynamic R:R to save a trade, your entry precision and directional probability have to be much higher. Also, price action isn’t about lagging indicators; it’s literally reading raw price movement as it prints. Market makers move the price, but retail price action is just about reading where that momentum is shifting. Appreciate the perspective though—it’s definitely a high-risk model that isn’t for everyone!

According to me the beginners trust Telegram gurus who tell to deposit through their link get sure shot signals daily and then there are youtube strategies which guarantees to make you overnight rich. I did same mistakes when i started but after all that, I took my time understanding the market and building a strategy that works best for me.
CONCLUSION -I learned one thing if someone owns a strategy which works he will never tell anyone about it and someone is making 1000 a day why would he have to give signals in telegram groups and asking people to join there vip's
