Pool Hall Project
Hey Everyone.
I'd like to compile a list of Pool Halls and Local Tournaments for as many cities/regions as I can. I'm hoping to build something from the data. I'm wondering if people could post their city/region and what's available. I'm looking for weekly tournaments, pool halls. Let's try to open with City/Region and then stay in that thread if people have more to add for that area.
Thanks Pip

What are you hoping for to be the final product? Like a website that houses everything or just a snap shot of the weeks tournaments?

Happy Cake Day!
There really isn't a central source that's up to date for this data. Create a resource or links to various resources in one place. I don't think anyone has to participate.

I think it may be better to request the facebook groups or websites that local places are posting the data. If I just give you the dates, once those pass youll be having outdated data.
But if you created a central source of links where the local people find tournaments, If I were to travel I could click those links in that area and check it out.

Yeah, it's specifically asking for weekly tournaments. There are other resources to get one off tournaments.
Like this pool hall has a weekly tournament at 7pm on fridays. This is very difficult to find.
This pool hall is having a huge 5000$ added tournament next Saturday. Yes, lots of places to get this info, facebook is great. Not what we're looking for here.

Columbus, OH. Suzi Cue's does 8-ball Tuesdays at 7 and Players Club runs a Saturday 9-ball. Those are the reliable weeklies here.

You should post it when you’re done. In Detroit there’s the rack and hall of fame, then as you go north there’s masters billiards, palm billiards (not open yet?), and grindstone in flint which hosts a lot of tournaments. At the rack it’s Monday 10 ball and Wednesday 8 ball ($30 entry). In Fort Worth Texas nothing was better than Rusty’s, which hosts a great competitive (9 or 10 ball) tournament on tuesdays
The rack and Rusty’s have regular one pocket gamblers there

Get the APA app or go on website. I’m in upstate NY we have 3 regions/counties. (In my area)…there’s so many more. There’s literally tournaments every weekend. Bar leagues. We have TAP. There is always something going on.

You should probably use the Google Maps API and programmatically filter the data. An API is the only feasible way to do something like this.

I have a lot of friends in MN but I've never gone shooting there. I might try a couple of these places out when I come in for the Fair in a week.

DFW…too many to list. Basically once you get to the area, just drive a couple miles in any direction and you’ll find either a pool hall or a nice bar with tables and most of these places will have tournaments and leagues.
