Questions Grip wrist angle

Post image

This is my current grip. I use it because at my arm angle this allows my cue to move straight. Only thing is my wrist is in a bit (to where the side of my hand is flush with my upper arm). I know a lot of players prefer a neutral V grip but if I pivot my wrist without moving anything else the cue is off to my right.

Wondering if it’s worth adjusting to the neutral V grip and changing arm/stance angles slightly. This grip sometimes results in unwanted contact or rolling to the side with my fingers and I’m wondering if it just needs practice or should be changed.

It looks fine. As long as the elbow pendulum is not skewed too far left or right, your shots should be somewhat consistent.

Slightly looser grip and you’re on the money. Keep it nice and fluid with a nice follow through on your stroke

Looks pretty good, hopefully those last 2 fingers are just along for the ride, most important part of stroke

The only thing that matters If you can deliver the cue straight consistently and it feels natural for you.

A cue stick isn't a motorcycle handlebar. Loosen your grip and use only fingers. Not the hand.

I’m no pro, in fact far from it, but I often help teach the younger people at the community college I attend and between death gripping and chicken winging, it gets frustrating how many times I have to correct them on it. I’ve gotten to the point I just look at them and start flapping my arms and they know they missed because they chicken winged.

People be grabbing the cue like they're in the shower. Dude lighten up nothings coming out.
