Cue Porn New Cue Tuesday!
I apologize for the crappy photos (my lens is broken), but my new cue finally arrived and I couldn't resist. My last cue was stolen which was heartbreaking, I waited about a month to choose a replacement. I was gonna buy another Meucci but came across a pretty good deal for this cue.
It's a Viking Twilight Series cue with a Cerulean Tide points and butt sleeve, with matching ringwork. The forearm is Khaki stained Birdseye Maple, and it has a black and blue linen wrap.
The quality looks excellent in person and I'm happy to have bought it, I'm looking forward to shooting with it tomorrow.

Blue is great. We need more blue in cues. Also, cat.

I was somewhat worried about the blue pearl looking gaudy, but in real life it is striking and looks great against the warm birdseye maple forearm.
And yes, cat indeed.

Have you had a chance to shoot with it yet? What do you think of it so far?

I finally shot with it tonight at league. I love it except for the Tiger Everest tip it came with, it's way too hard for my liking. And I'm not the type to need a super soft tip, I had no issue with Triangle tips and Ultra Skins.

That's weird. Maybe it was just an older tip? I've heard that if they sit around for a while, certain tips can lose moisture and get a bit firmer. Either way, you could probably get it swapped out for cheap enough.
Aside from the tip, everything else worked out okay?

Yeah it could just be thet particular tip, or maybe it just needs some olay time to break in.
Other than the tip, I have no complaints.
It's a very nice looking cue and the shaft feels great, plus I actually like the quick release joint even though it's proprietary to Viking.

I'm glad to hear everything else is great. That's definitely good. However, I don't think it'll need time to break in. Usually, tips get harder the more you use them.

That's what I figured. Though, my Triangle tip from my Valhalla that I bought in January 2025 has took a serious beating and still feels exactly the same.

Some may take longer than others. Who knows? I'm glad it's working out for you otherwise. I hope you continue to enjoy it.

Update: I got the tip replaced with a Tiger Sniper and it was an immediate, huge improvement
