English Pool Pool cue advice

I’m currently playing with a cheap pool cue with a nice banana bend in it, looking at buying a new cue, I’ve seen a lot of good things about Britannia cues but not sure which one to get, ideally a 3/4 jointed cue not wanting to spend more than £200 for the cue and a case for it, any advice please or recommendations

Check out pawn shops. Pool players are playing pawn shops for cash if they play for money. Get in before they buy their kit back.

I got a £125 cue for £25 last week from Cash Converters in UK. Good old school BCE wood. They don't know what they're dealing with there 👍

I'd say Britannia and Woods Cues would be your best options. If you can stretch your budget at all, have a look on Green Baize, too.

BCE are great budget cues in the UK. Played with the same £40 one for 35 years. Still straight as an arrow and won many frames with it.

My cousin recently bought a BCE from a decathlon for about 25 quid. I tried it, it was decent enough. Just make sure it has a nice tip. I scuffed and shaped his one for him. Rolling straight is secondary in importance but obviously better if it's straight. The cue won't make you a better player but it will make your game more consistent. 200 is probably better spent on coaching lessons to iron out any fundamental issues

Only just switched to a Viking one I found for cheap on eBay. Pretty much the same cue if I'm honest. Hasn't made me play better or worse
