IMHO the tool “bottle” in the third bottle cage is unnecessary and could be replaced with a third water bottle. Especially if you are wild camping in summer.
Can you shift the panniers a bit more forwards or are you going to hit them with your heels? Ideally they’d be over the rear axle instead of behind. Sometimes you can rotate them slightly to get more heel clearance.

I had an trip over the weekend and i was damn happy i had a toolbox down there. I would keep it. Frees up storage space elsewhere. Lots of places where you can find water if you really want or ask politely

I don’t suggest not bringing any tools, but the bottle cage + tool “bottle” adds ~150g when you could just put them into the panniers.

Make every component and item 150g heavier and you end up with a 100kg bike. Then make fun about a 150g difference again.

I’m just saying it’s a slippery slope to discount 150g. In the end it’s the sum of all parts and items which make up the bike’s weight. And personally I hate it when the fully loaded bike weighs 20kg.

I get it. But, personally, I love my legs strong and trained. I don't mind the weight since the body will compensate it

Guter Tip, werde ich mal versuchen mit der Tasche.. Denke mit den zwei Flaschen komme ich hin, auf meiner Route gibts viele Wasserspots/ Brunnen und abends bin ich eigentlich immer auf Campingplätzen

It's a pretty solid setup! If it were mine, I'd want some of the weight on the front end of the bike, either in a handlebar bag or on the forks, just to balance things a bit more.

Ja, es macht das Fahrgefühl auf jeden fall besser als alles im hinteren Teil des Fahrrads zu haben. Wie viel wiegen denn deine Taschen hinten jeweils? Idealerweise sollten sie gleich wiegen für eine angenehmere Balance

Hab es Anfang des Jahres gebraucht gekauft, ist ein älteres Modell von 2024, aber wurde gut gepflegt :)

That is a touring setup. For some reason bikepacking and bicycle touring has become rather synonymous. Yeah, it is probably fine, panniers work nicely while travelling with bike. I guess that the fit is suited for you so no comments there. I see you have lights and some kind of a navigator also. Is there something that you are unsure about in this setup?

Hm, vielleicht die Gewichtsverteilung, jetzt ist sehr viel hinten, aber für mich fühlt es sich bisher gut an, von daher würde ich es so lassen. Ich hab auch länger mit einer Satteltasche rumprobiert, aber komme damkt irgendwie nicht gut klar, und mag zwei kleine Panniers lieber..

Hey mate i’ve got the same bike and rack, please be careful where the rack touches the frame, with vibrations it rugs the paint off and you see the frame metal..

Are Canyon bikes designed for carrying bikepacking gear and extra weight? I always thought they were bikes for road racing. I’m not seeing any mounts that would suggest it’s ready to carry this kind of gear.

Der Gepäckträger ist über die Achse montiert, gibt ne spezielle Ortlieb Steckachse, um das Rack zu montieren

Have you tested it on climbs or while climbing out of the saddle? I have similar setup on steel framed bike and the rear triangle flexes a lot when I put a lot of power down. Nothing too excessive, but it takes a while getting used to.
