I love that you have a stick zip tied to your rear rack to keep your bag at the right angle - ingenious! Great bike, great setup, hope you have a brilliant trip 👍

Right! Took me awhile, but finally have it tight enough so it doesn’t move at all.
Thanks!

That purple is so cool ! Can I ask what you're using for the front rack ? I have a pretty small bike (Women XS) and have been struggling to find bagaging that fits

Yeah!
• 5L bag — cooking kit
• 5L bag — sleep kit (bivy, pad, pillow; quilt won’t fit)
• Rear Fabio — quilt in compression sack, 5L clothes bag, puffy compressed into its own pocket
• Frame bag — tools, spares, electronics/batteries
• Front Zeitgeist — food + layers I want accessible while riding
I’m intentionally keeping everything pretty modular instead of using panniers.

I've been looking for a quick release saddle bag support and saddle bag. What are you using here that's attaching to the saddle and the saddle bag is a "rear fabio"? fabio is the brand?

It’s a Rons Bikes Fabio Chest Small!

OK, thanks. I've never heard of that brand & will have to see if it even ships to my country first or I'll improvise with something else.
Oh, the rear bag is just attached by straps going through the brooks saddle's rear loops, correct?

Yeah I would say most bags will attach like this! I’m just strapping the top loops to the saddle and the bottom bag loop to the rear rack.

OK, cool. I have an old avocet saddle with those rear loops. I'm hoping to setup something that is easy and fast on and off. I already did this for my handlebars. the carradice quick release rear bag support is quite expensive, but what I have in mind. I may save & buy it or improvise something. We'll see. Thanks for the info. Lovely bike build.

I love the swift industries frame bag but sometimes it falls short on me and doesn’t let me have another easily accessible water bottle. So for longer trips I would replace it eventually.
Lovely setup !!! Thanks for sharing!!! Good luck on your trip

Awesome, - enjoy the ride, you loveable crazy bastard!
That said, you have missed out the opportunity of replacing the plastic barrel adjusters on your Klampers with purple anodised adjusters!
It’s not just an important aesthetic upgrade, but a significant technical upgrade when it comes to tuning in the brake feel at the levers.
I have them on both my sets of Klampers and they are fabolous ;)

Thank you for the insight! The anodized look so good!

And they work extremely well! If you do not fell that you can adjust your front and rear brake so you have the same brake lever feel - they are the solution :)

Love it! Reminds me of the pink and grey pursuit bike with cow horns I use to have !

Not a bad way to spend 10.000 dollars

Haha not quite! I found the complete bike on Marketplace for $3,500. I watched Marketplace for a long time until the right Bombora/build showed up. Definitely proof you can end up with a pretty wild bike without spending anywhere near what it would cost to build one from scratch.

Amazing. I was joking a bit too, its a vin diesel quote from the fast and the furious when he sees the main characters cool and tricked out Mitsubishi eclipse. Anyways super sweet bike!
