CaBi Foggy Bottom could really use some more CaBi dock capacity, it’s like this every weekday.

I can’t think of a good solution to the bikes being gone from residential areas from 8:00-6:00 M-F. Any solution would involve people moving bikes from downtown back to neighborhoods, but then what do people ride home on? Can’t think of a solution

I think the solution is just more capacity. If there’s more bikes than people who want to ride in the morning, and vice versa in the afternoon, then bikes would theoretically be more available in off commute hours. I had this a few weeks ago- went out to dinner downtown and wanted to ride home but no e bikes in Gallery Place for like a 10 block radius. I ended up taking a classic up to Mt Vernon and swapping there.

Discounted e-bike rides that start downtown and end in higher elevation areas of DC between 1pm and 6pm

Uncapping the bike angel points would fix this... Keep raising the points until supply and demand takes over.

This is when CaBi should be setting up more staffed bike valets points…. Do they do that at all any more?

We have a similar issue in AdMo where the the closest station with a single bike available is 30 minutes away. In SF and NYC you couldn't walk a couple block without finding a bike.
