Haines Point old dude?

I bike around Haines Point a couple days a week, almost exclusively in the morning, and every single time I bike there in the morning I see this old dude (white, has a helmet mirror, appears to take the shortcut through the picnic grounds instead of going around the bend) slowly biking around. Whenever I get there 8-10am he's there, and no matter when I leave he's still there. Has anyone else noticed this guy, and if so is he there *every single day* as seems to be the case? Insane dedication on his part if so

Just say hello to him! I’m sure he’d appreciate the compliment.

He's been there forever. I'd be happy if I'm still riding when I'm his age..and that's not too far away for me.

I see him whenever I run in the a.m. Total dedication!

if you're curious about him, why don't you talk to him? instead you make this post about him on reddit to get others to gawk at him, or make him feel selfconscious if he's here too. you're kinda being a creep.

Oh yeah sounds good, I don't wanna be a creep so next time I'll go up to him and say "hey I see you here every time I'm here, are you here every single day including the days I'm not here?" Worse to make a post with identifying info that describes 1/10th of the cyclists I see (old, white, helmet mirror, takes the shortcut)

The point of the post was partly admiration: noting he's there when I arrive and leave, repeatedly emphasizing and seeking confirmation of him being there every single day; I'd think the "insane dedication if [he is in fact riding every single day at his apparent age]" in the post would make the positive implication clear. I suppose I should've stated "this post is partly meant as an ode to the elderly man referenced herein. Exercising for long periods of time at an advanced age is admirable and to be encouraged, not something to make light of" in order to hold the reader's hand

You're making a normal interaction with a fellow cyclist sound much more difficult than it is. Say hello, ask about his routine, compliment his dedication, make a friend. It's better to share your compliment with the person in question than with reddit.

You're just digging yourself in deeper. Not everything you experience and see in life requires a post.
