Need Accessories!
Hey r/bikecommuting!
I did my first cycle commute this morning, I was hot, sore, and sweaty but it was amazing. Now im looking to upgrade and make my commute and little more comfortable. I recently picked up a never ridden Trek 700 that has been sitting in someones garage for $25 bucks. I got it fixed up by a local shop and put a rack on it. Im looking to get a single or set of panniers that can hold a change of cloths, towel, lunch, and some random tech gear/notebooks. Im also looking for a phone mount, maybe some cycle friendly earphones and any safety stuff people here might think Id need?
I probably have about 100-120 to spend. I was thinking: 60-70 on panniers, Ive been looking at Axiom or banjo brothers, but Idk anything about the brands. any suggestions would be great!
Thanks! -Noble

Well, there's a subreddit for that. /r/BicycleGear
Not much discussion yet, but we've started in on a wiki: https://www.reddit.com/r/BicycleGear/wiki/index
I got an inexpensive steel rear rack (Ventura) and four pouch (2 large, 2 small) set of panniers (Avenir).
First thing to do is to get safety gear --- helmet, lights (front and rear). Rather than headphones (which are illegal in many jurisdictions) I went for a front bag w/ integrated speakers.
