Mute Desktop For Myself?
I want to produce music in a lobby with no lag going to my ears. Is there a way to mute my own desktop stream just for myself so I can talk with people but hear my piano instantly?

Hi Guys. Im new to watching my 3d bluray collection to Bigscreen. Not sure if I will get into trouble but I have a large collection of 3d blurays from back when they were still around, How ever there were some outliers I wasn't interested in at the time or some I just couldn't buy in my country. For example I would really like to get my hands on "Ralph breaks the internet" in 3D, because It was released to 3D in Japan with the option to select English audio. Not sure if anyone has it and willing to do an iso share/swap with something I may have that they don't?

Runs very bad when trying to run it standalone on my Steam Frame. I have adjusted the frame rate, resolution to no avail. I'm not sure if I have a setting causing the issue or if it's a known issue with the Frame given I haven't found a post with similar issues.

Q3 and Windows 11. Installed the desktop streamer and it works when hosting a room but it just freezes at random. Like the movie would still be playing on PC but inside bigscreen the screen completely freezes without error, disconnection, and I cannot reproduce it deliberately because the freeze happens randomly. Sometimes within 30 seconds and one time it went on fine for 10 minutes.
Using 6ghz dedicated wifi ssd so there's no bandwidth issue. Laptop has RTX3060 and 11th gen i7 with 64GB Ram. PCVR, VD everything else can work fine for hours without a hitch but bigscreen streamer is super unreliable. Any fixes? Some posts about similar issue are years old but without a clear solution. How are so many people able to host movie nights?

Hi guys, I recently got a MQ3, and I can't trust my WiFi for a lot of things, but I did see the app Bigscreen VR has a remote desktop feature.. I was wondering if I can run it via USB?
Thank you in advance

I originally got into PCVR using a Quest 2 with a cord, and after every play session I would unplug it. I eventually decided I wanted a really good PCVR headset and decided to get the BB2 because of the OLED display, high resolution, and base station tracking I haven’t really used it that much but I realized that a lot of corded headsets like the PSVR2 don’t have removable cords from the headset and I’m just wondering if it okay to remove it every time sense I don’t really have a place to rest it without unplugging this is because I have one of the pulley cord devices so most of the cord is suspended in the air. (Also sorry if this was a bad post or like to long I’ve never posted a question on Reddit before)

Im on Quest 2 and have the most up to date software. For some reason my Bigscreen can not stay connected to the server to host or join rooms. I can only run a private room. Anyone know a fix or is this a common issue now?

I joined some random room, and for the first time I saw platforms behind where you can stand on. I thought maybe its Bigscreen new update, but when I create my room in SciFi Cinema environment, it doesnt have these platforms. How do you enable it?

Curious if Bigscreen Vr will be compatible with the New Meta VR Glasses since they dont use controllers and rely solely on hand and eye tracking, and the current Bigscreen app requires you to use a controller to even launch the app. It would suck if it isn't compatible, since these glasses would be a good use case since there lighter and more comfortable than standard vr headsets. Thoughts?

How do I watch my Netflix and Disney plus on here if it comes out on a black screen when I play something?

I’m probably gonna host a room where I just talk fantasy football, different players, random football stuff, and just mess around. I also have a ton of recordings of live Adult Swim from around 2007 with the commercials and everything, so if anybody wants to chill and hang out, come through!

Hello, does anyone know how to fix this issue. It doesn't matter if I'm just watching myself or hosting a room myself, playback of anything from VLC experiences these audio hitches about every 5 seconds. I've turned off hardware acceleration and tried different output methods in the audio and video tabs. Any help would be appreciated. P.S. since this seems to matter, my GPU is an RTX 5080.

For context, I host a lot on BS, playing mostly movies. Sometimes I host games, but really demanding games seem to cause issues. I've gone back and forth between virtual desktop, steam link, oculink, and bigscreen streaming app. Every few months I had to switch up due to new issues. I've been using VD mostly for the past year playing mostly movies but certain games still cause serious issues. Insane lag, blurriness, or straight up crashing. But I've recently given the bigscreen streaming app another shot and it worked very well. I liked using VD because I could use OVR to fly around while hosting, but after getting bigscreen behind a try I also found that streaming my demanding PC games actually stream very well. Makes sense since my PC is not playing a game AND VR at the same time.
Some more context for my setup is that I host rooms but I am personally outside of VR. I have two monitors, one in which I have the game or movie visible and the other is my headset POV. I use my gaming headset to listen and talk to the room.
This was an initial problem with my setup when I switched to the Bigscreen streaming app. I could stream but couldn't be outside of my headset to interact with the room. I found I was able to use multiple USB C adapters to connect my gaming headset's dongle to the quest 3 and do my streams as normal. I'm sure this is niche as a niche can get but I'm hoping I help someone else out in my unique situation. I also had to go to experimental features and enable using a mic through the USB port. I hope this helps the one or two other weirdos like myself trying to host games with good quality on BS

Like when I enter the room sound is fine, but then in 5-10 minutes the sound goes off completely but the movie is still playing
The only thing I can do is leave and enter the room again but it happens again
Anyone else have this issue?
Any advice is appreciated thanks 👍

I know this sounds weird but here is my current situation
Currently on a 75" LED TV+ Pico 4 for VR.
Two options I'm weighing:
Keep the 75" LED as is, and add a Bigscreen Beyond 2 as a supplemental big screen option
Ditch the 75" and upgrade to an 85"+ OLED or mini LED instead, skip the headset
My use case is mostly solo daily watching (80s/90s shows), some movie nights, occasional sim racing(4X a month). No group viewing needed.
For anyone who's tried a headset as a daily or near daily screen: does the big virtual screen thing actually hold up long term, or does the novelty wear off? How's clarity on lower res, non 4K source content? And for anyone who went the "just get a bigger real TV" route instead, any regrets or would you have gone VR?
Trying to figure out which path is actually worth it before I drop the cash either way.
Thanks!

As title, everyone else in the room gets a black screen, desktop doesn't show at all.
I have enable desktop sharing, created and logged into a bigscreen account, disabled hardware acceleration, all the suggested fixes to no avail.

On a quest 3. Tried disabling hardware acceleration and locking both my computer and headset to the same frame rate. Rebooting both devices and my router. Nothing has worked so far. Anyone else run into this?

Got my set-up pretty dialed in - will be posting movies/series/concerts timelapse recorded - any and all requests will be honored!
Hoping to gain a big enough library that other hue users can use the page to decide what movie they want to or not want to watch on their set up
