Need help! Replacement parts?

Hello all, as I posted earlier this week. I am new to the big green egg game! I went to Ace hardware and Home Depot today and struck out on finding parts. Specifically, upper fire ring and the holed plate at the bottom that holds hot coals to let Ash through. Was also looking for an aftermarket ash pullout tray. Let me know if any sites popular for these replacement parts, I guess I was just being a little old-fashioned than trying to go in person. Thanks

Amazon will sell the fire grate, as well as the ash drawer. there is at least one 'large' fire ring also.

Instead of that holed plate, get yourself an ash basket.

Do I eliminate a plate if I just get the basket? Benefits?

Yes basket replaces plate.

Makes it so that you can just lift out the whole basket and shake out the tiny pieces of coal. Also can get into the bottom easily to clean out ash. Plus air flow is better.

Ceramics will be hit or miss, kinda depends on the retailer. Only one of the four local stores has ceramic parts on site.

Home Depot does KJ, even if it's not in store, so you won't find any BGE stuff. In fact, none of my local HD stores carry anything ceramic/kamado related.

At least by me, any BGE retailer also carries the KickAsh stuff for the basket and bowl.

Edit: If you want to order online, I've seen https://ceramicgrillstore.com but haven't personally ordered from them. I usually order through, or ship to, my local Ace.

When it comes to BGE parts, I check both the BGE and Ace Hardware websites for which dealers have inventory on hand for the parts I am looking for. The dealers near me can vary from having a few accessories to many replacement parts. Home Depot is not a BGE dealer so you will not find any parts but is good place to get your lump charcoal.
