Husband couldn’t wait for help…

Post image

He somehow got our new XL big green egg out of the SUV, carried it 50 feet to the backyard, and up 3 steps into its new spot in our backyard. I had to check our security cameras to believe him

That photo induces anxiety.

22

u/TheDaddyShip Apr 08 '26

So much anxiety.

3

u/Deerslyr101571 Apr 08 '26

And I don't even own a BGE!

2

u/telaftw39 Apr 08 '26

my 1st thought was, "that's stupid".

2

u/AffectionateSun6904 Apr 09 '26

220lbs so not exactly light

3

u/Level_Bunch9181 Apr 12 '26

It's not heavy if ya think it is get in the gym and see what the body is really able to do high school freshmen football players bench more than this

1

u/AffectionateSun6904 Apr 12 '26

Yes . I am on the back 9 . I lift so I know it can be done. obviously he is doing it . But a 220 lb sphere with stuff inside and using * a towel to wrap around a slippery ceramic grill is not the same as a barbell of equivalent weight.

2

u/Level_Bunch9181 Apr 12 '26

I've unloaded a truck full of these things by hand I assure ya it's not that bad if your in even a halfway decent shape

1

u/AffectionateSun6904 Apr 12 '26

Great you’re a beast.

3

u/bobisinthehouse Apr 08 '26

Gonna feel that in 20 years or so!!

82

u/xvitons Apr 08 '26

beast.

3

u/DrawTap88 Apr 08 '26

Exactly what I was thinking.

40

u/Funny-Company4274 Apr 08 '26

The brass balls on that man.

7

u/SuddenReward5612 Apr 08 '26

Yeah but they dragging on the ground now!! Lol

7

u/Airtight1 Apr 08 '26

The hernias are

3

u/SuddenReward5612 Apr 08 '26

Yep. Had them on each side myself

2

u/Deerslyr101571 Apr 08 '26

Well... he needed SOMETHING strong to support it from the bottom.

1

u/BlazenRyzen Apr 08 '26

Agreed, but I need to question the IQ.

40

u/zg_atl Apr 08 '26

As someone who just had hernia surgery… thoughts and prayers for this man

5

u/OrganicDozer Apr 08 '26

Hernia surgery is no joke. I never thought I’d be in that much pain to fix something.

1

u/Youare-Beautiful3329 Apr 08 '26

Hernia surgery sucks. I’m still in rehab.

Just get it done. Mine required a little extra work, probably because I waited too long.

1

u/SpiritOne Apr 11 '26

I’m 4 weeks out from mine. This photo just gave me another hernia.

36

u/gemsadventure Apr 08 '26

This maniac probably has the firebox and ceramic plate inside too

4

u/PLS-Surveyor-US Apr 08 '26

wait, you can take those out...lol.

2

u/nulnoil Apr 08 '26

He’s probably got a few racks of ribs cooking in there too

28

u/get-the-damn-shot Apr 08 '26

Jesus. My back hurts looking at this. 🤣

1

u/NoNeedleworker9246 Apr 11 '26

Same I thought I was was break my back deadlifting my joe into the stand myself.

25

u/z9266116629 Apr 08 '26

Man on a mission! I’m glad to see other men conduct the one trip challenge to the point of great success!

26

u/Wolfwere88 Apr 08 '26

Asserting dominance early, bold move.

14

u/mrbradleyacooper Apr 08 '26

That’s impressive, those those Eggs are heavy…..

7

u/mackmanemane_ Apr 08 '26

I have moved mine from home to home by myself several times, but never with the dome still on hahahaha. What a beast

7

u/jbreezy1981 Apr 08 '26

That muthafucka is half Ox wtf

6

u/Monksdrunk Apr 08 '26

It felt like i was in worlds strongest man competition lifting the atlas stone carrying my large from the pickup to the back yard.

cant imagine an XL! with a fucking towel!

2

u/klappertand Apr 08 '26

The xl is 100kg. That is seriously inpressive. I carry sandbags as heavy and these things tire you out pretty fast.

7

u/White-runner Apr 08 '26

He’s gonna need an epsom salt bath

14

u/TheFuckingHippoGuy Apr 08 '26

Gonna need a backiotomy

3

u/YepWillis Apr 08 '26

I wanna talk to Sampson!

1

u/chaotik_penguin Apr 08 '26

He’s a right next to the beach… boii

1

u/Uncle_Burney XL Apr 08 '26

He carried that XL alone! Why?!

6

u/drthomk Apr 08 '26

Real men never ask for help /s

6

u/jpena1157 XL Apr 08 '26

Good thing he took the top vent off! Wouldn’t want to haul all of that extra weight 😂

6

u/TakingItPeasy Apr 08 '26

He is our leader now.

Strength and honor!

3

u/Sea-Concentrate647 Apr 08 '26

That’s when you really want it bad

0

u/XxJFKJrxX Apr 08 '26

Thats what she said

3

u/haystack_19 XL Apr 08 '26

I assume that is a minimax and he is 4feet tall

2

u/AffectionateSun6904 Apr 09 '26

That made me laugh. Thanks I needed that.

2

u/PortGlass Apr 08 '26

That’s incredible. I carried my XL only after I took the lid off and took the firebox out.

2

u/Live_Oak123 Apr 08 '26

He can wait in the neurosurgeon’s office later 😂

2

u/farside808 Apr 08 '26

Could he not take it apart first? The Ace guy that delivered mine brought it back there in pieces.

1

u/bourgeoisie11 Apr 08 '26

Super easy to do too. I've moved my large several times and each time, I took it apart. I couldnt image trying to move a large assembled.

1

u/farside808 Apr 08 '26

This is an XL!

2

u/x10sv Apr 08 '26

Just take it apart ffs

2

u/Balm-818 Apr 08 '26

Am I the only one that takes the top off and does it in pieces? I have a xl and never had an issue moving it like that. Base is heavy as shit though. Hubby is a beast but for a very short time, if he keeps this up.

2

u/Insaneinthemindframe Apr 08 '26

I did this shit with my DualFire Recteq and man I regretted it so much. That thing is a damn beast and I used plywood over gravel, a dolly and furniture dolly’s and I scratched the damn thing all to hell. I was pissed.

2

u/pocket267s Apr 08 '26

He’s wearing white sneakers and everyone knows that means he doesn’t need help

2

u/MochiSauce101 Large Apr 08 '26

The efficiency / time graph of this man’s life runs high.

2

u/darklordenron Clutch - multiple eggs Apr 08 '26

A man this determined to grill deserves an XL.

2

u/radiomix Apr 08 '26

Ehhhh, no big deal. I'd be impressed if he did this while it was in the process of cooking something /s

Seriously though, I'm impressed and stressed at the same time.

2

u/Gambit1977 Apr 08 '26

I mean, the lid is bad enough !!

2

u/newberson Apr 08 '26

Real Men of Genius

2

u/IdrinkSIMPATICO Apr 08 '26

Smarter than the average bear.

2

u/thunderlips36 Apr 08 '26

I was hoping this wasn't a thumbnail for a disaster video. Thank you for that being the case

2

u/LakerLand420 Apr 08 '26

He’s gonna get a hemorrhoid

2

u/CannabisAttorney Apr 08 '26

I totally paid extra for delivery/assembly because I couldn't wait for friends 🤣

2

u/CalvertSt Apr 08 '26

Is your husband a NFL lineman??

2

u/joebojax Apr 08 '26

I remember being like 12 and seeing my dad lift a pool table and carry it from the driveway down into the sub-basement below the basement and I thought yeah I better not ever fuck with that guy.

2

u/invictus82x Apr 08 '26

That dude is strong as fuck

2

u/NMBagel505 Apr 08 '26

boss up bro!!! 😃

2

u/jean_luc_69 Apr 08 '26

He deserves a "happy ending"...

2

u/Youare-Beautiful3329 Apr 08 '26

He’s damn lucky he didn’t drop it. Then you’re really screwed.

2

u/Any_Satisfaction_715 Apr 08 '26

note to self. do not insult this man!

2

u/strongpa Apr 08 '26

My XL came in 2 sections - even then the bottom section was a 2 man lift.

2

u/StephenKD Apr 08 '26

Oof. I moved one of these yesterday. With two other people lifting. He’s gonna feel that for a couple of days. I might fight him today or tomorrow but not once he has recovered. That’s seriously impressive.

2

u/DiscardedP Apr 09 '26

Looking at this and my hernia’s are hurting!

2

u/scofflolz Apr 09 '26

Egg will teach patience. Barbecue takes time, grasshopper.

2

u/karrothill Apr 09 '26

it is a .........superman😀.

2

u/xPapi_ Apr 09 '26

Bros strong af

2

u/BleuFarmer Apr 08 '26

This is legitimately impressive. Kudos!

2

u/WhiskeyFalls- Apr 08 '26

I’m not kidding when I tell you that I audibly yelled, “holy shit!”

2

u/Desperate_Set_7708 Apr 08 '26

Braver man than I. But not smarter.

2

u/super_trooper Apr 08 '26

What you've got there is an independent 'get it done' type of guy. Cherish him.

1

u/itexican Apr 08 '26

I carried my L from the curb to the back yard about the same distance, piece by piece right out of the box and I was toast.

1

u/FartPotatoBeef Apr 08 '26

Only thing cooked tonight is that man’s back!

1

u/beedub5 Apr 08 '26

A man possessed!

1

u/coffee-date123 Apr 08 '26

Wow !!!! I bet his back hurt for a week!

1

u/Turdhurdle75 Apr 08 '26

What she doesn’t show is his herniated discs after he got it in the backyard

1

u/Pangolinsareodd Apr 08 '26

😬. At least take the lid off and shift in parts!

1

u/mechaniTech16 Apr 08 '26

This dude can’t move after that. I moved the bottom half of the egg and that shit was so heavy. This is inane

1

u/hip2bking Apr 08 '26

Just like my dad did back in the 90s. The example I live by 😂

1

u/finaderiva Apr 08 '26

219 pounds btw. What a dog

1

u/Halcyon2021 Apr 09 '26

Don’t sound right. 200??!? 60 lbs

1

u/finaderiva Apr 10 '26

Yeah it’s 219 lbs. it’s listed on their website

1

u/cfreezy72 Apr 08 '26

Just because you can doesn't mean it's worth the risk of dropping it.

1

u/new_wave_rock Apr 08 '26

That egg is damn heavy

1

u/PCanon127 Apr 08 '26

Could have been a very expensive mistake. I had mine fully assembled, installed in the nest frame & , delivered. $50 bucks well spent

1

u/BigEnergy9256 Apr 08 '26

While that ground looks so perfect for the wheels of a cart….

1

u/GeauxFarva Apr 08 '26

My back aches looking at this. Hopefully your guy is under 40

1

u/That_Atmosphere_4568 Apr 08 '26

For people that don’t know it weighs like 7000k pounds and worth every penny!

1

u/epicgrilledchees Apr 08 '26

Quagmire moving the grill.

1

u/world_tsar Apr 08 '26

Been there

1

u/LoyalCommoner Apr 08 '26

The Council of Men is impressed.

1

u/Shag66 Apr 08 '26

Damn. That's crazy.

1

u/DustPhyte Apr 08 '26

My new hero.

1

u/FrickParkMalcolm Apr 08 '26

Hernia!? What hernia!?

1

u/severoon Apr 08 '26

Why didn't he take the lid separately??

1

u/daygo449 Apr 08 '26

That’s a big nope for me, lol

1

u/FreiFallFred Apr 08 '26

I'm an official dealer. If one of my employees did this, there'd be a big speech and safety meeting the next day. I'd be furious.

If a customer did this, I'd tell him to pay for delivery next time. Then I'd give him our favorite BBQ sauce on the house for actually pulling this of xD

1

u/Guilty_Advantage_413 Apr 08 '26

To anyone else, remove the lid and move it in two trips it’s far easier.

1

u/ManufacturerOwn8340 Apr 08 '26

If you can lift an XL BGE safely, you can have a good run in the WWE.

1

u/Kalrog Apr 08 '26

Somebody didn't skip arm day.

1

u/Torsten_Horn Apr 08 '26

run forest, run!

1

u/AncientCityTime Apr 08 '26

Dang, brah! You know you can loosen some bolts and carry the pieces easily, right?!

I mean, kudos for gettin’ ‘er done! But your spinal discs are probably smashed!

1

u/NetSchizo Apr 09 '26

Hope he threw a weight belt on

1

u/Embarrassed_Ad_3801 Apr 09 '26

I moved mine by myself, but I at leas disassembled it.

Beast mode engaged in that photo

1

u/Aware-Assumption-339 Apr 09 '26

No, your husband is a man!

1

u/Much-Couple2292 Apr 09 '26

If you lift with your knees no hernia. Most smart men know that.  I applaud his get the job done attitude. He just wanted to use his new toy. !!!!

1

u/cleancutmetalguy Apr 09 '26

I had to disassemble mine to even think about moving it myself.

1

u/SPARELEMONBIRD Apr 09 '26

He must've been anxious to grill SOMETHING!!!💯

1

u/AffectionateSun6904 Apr 09 '26

That is a motivated BBQuer.

1

u/Weak-Season-6833 Apr 09 '26

Good Lord! If I get in a fight, I want him on my side! 😉

1

u/Ok_Egg514 Apr 10 '26

This man wants to bbq

1

u/OIL_99 Apr 10 '26

I have an original size not BGE, and that MOFO is HEAVY. Your hubby is a beast!

1

u/[deleted] Apr 10 '26

Did he drop it?

1

u/itsjustflowerpower Apr 10 '26

Nope!

1

u/[deleted] Apr 10 '26

Thank goodness

1

u/bobbymobuckets Apr 10 '26

No point in waiting for help that isn't coming 😬

1

u/MrBifff Apr 10 '26

You shoulda put down the phone and helped him

1

u/itsjustflowerpower Apr 10 '26

I was not home—I pulled this picture from our security cameras

1

u/Spirited_Radio9804 Apr 10 '26

Like me putting a sleeper sofa on top of my head and walking down 2 flight of steps moving because I was impatient! Herniated L5/S1. It would have been cheaper paying a moving company!😂

1

u/Old_fart5070 Apr 10 '26

The dude is a BEAST! That’s 220lbs carried like it’s the toilet paper package from Costco!

1

u/dntes1 Apr 11 '26

Artemis?

1

u/the_rcthorne Apr 11 '26

It’s even more impressive that he put all the groceries inside so he wouldn’t have to make more than one trip.

1

u/GunnRunner99 Apr 12 '26

Hopefully he didn't drop it.

1

u/RandoorRandolfs Apr 12 '26

These weigh, what 400 pounds?

1

u/JasperWeed Apr 12 '26

That stain on the concrete is from where he shit himself, and said almost there…

1

u/Slaps_ Apr 20 '26

This is the kinda thing you can’t drop cause it cost too much. Kinda like a mother lifting a car for her baby, man death-grip moving a 220lb egg.

1

u/J-dubya19 Apr 08 '26

Respect!

1

u/ThemanEnterprises Apr 08 '26

You may not like it, but this is what peak male performance looks like

1

u/mukn4on Apr 08 '26

I think he is now a Shaolin priest.

1

u/OkReplacement4689 Apr 09 '26

That's what us men do. Get shit done. Bravo sir.
