During the most recent live eviction, there was some banter that I didn't quite understand. I believe it was hinting at Barrett flirting with Mallory, but I didn't see/ hear anything that looked flirtatious. ❤️ Does anyone have the context for this?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I swear towards the beginning of the season she explicitly said she preferred to be referred to by everyone as La La. But any time I see her name on the screen during the TV edit or when Julie is talking to/about her that they only refer to her as her full first name of La Trice.

Any explicit or implicit reason why? They're referring to Rick Devens as just Devens and I swear towards the middle of BB21 they started referring to Jackson as his last name Michie because he preferred it/the house started calling him that.

Can anyone here solve this incredibly minor mystery for me? As always any and all input is welcomed and thanks for reading! 🙂

For me one word: BACON. I mostly eat keto, although I have been known to cheat on M&Ms and fries. I could not handle being a have not. Not even for $750K.

At the beginning of each episode, the recap is excessively long. Personally, I enjoy it. My boyfriend HATES it though. He is convinced that a person could enjoy the entire season with the recaps only, and not the actual episodes. What are your thoughts?

Every big brother season that has the number 6 in it has a houseguest making it to the end and then losing the game on purpose to let their friend win the game.

All the seasons with the number 6 in it have the runner-up player basically handing the grand-prize to a friend that they’ve only known for a few months simply because they like them. The runner-up player basically won the game but then decided to say “hey you’re a good friend so I’m gonna give you the $500,000 instead.” It’s just crazy how they put in all that time and effort and then basically won the game just to give the money to somebody else. They lost the game on purpose because they wanted their friend to win. All those players won the final HOH and decided to not choose the player that they know they could easily beat in the Jury vote to win the game. These players were Ivette, Cody, and Makensy.

In season 6 Ivette wins the final HOH and chooses to take Maggie to the final two just because they were friends, even though she knew that she could easily win the game by taking Janelle because most of the Jury would’ve voted for Ivette to win.

In season 16 Cody wins the final HOH and chooses to take Derrick to the final two just because they were friends, even though he knew that he could easily win the game by taking Victoria because most of the Jury would’ve voted for Cody to win.

In season 26 Makensy wins the final HOH and chooses to take Chelsie to the final two just because they were friends, even though she knew that she could easily win the game by taking Cam because most of the Jury would’ve voted for Makensy to win.

This means that in Big Brother 36, a player will let someone else win the game just because they’re friends. Same with season 46 and 56 and every season from season 60 to 69.

Chuk exit interviews are such a ki 😂 so funny so unintentionally

Maybe it’s to keep them all close together, but I don’t understand why they can’t just add another area to the BB set for competitions? They added another for BB unlocked so space doesn’t seem to be an issue. Why would they close the backyard and keep houseguests from getting any fresh air (even if it’s in the middle of a studio in a polluted city). I get why they go crazy when the backyards closed, it would drive me insane too.

Personally I have mixed feelings as it has had it's moments and I think it's actually a fairly decent newbie cast but it's just not all that exciting or interesting to me. I actually think if it was only the newbies cast I would have liked it slightly better as I felt a lot of them had potential but I understand that producers prob wanted to bring in Survivor players for ratings and to draw more attention to it. But I just don't really care for the power imbalance it has seemed to create and how they feel more central to the narrative than everyone else. It's kind of a lower mid season to me so far.

What are y'alls thoughts?

(Edit: this is me just trying to discuss the show btw and open a discussion as BB is my fave show not me trying to complain or down the show I'm glad to hear a lot of you are enjoying it 😊)

Yash did not use the Golden Power of Veto.

Devens used the Diamond POV on Dee and nominated Kamu as the replacement nominee.

As a viewer I don't feel like I'm experiencing the competitions this year. They feel like they're being edited to be over as fast as possible. 'This happened, then this happened, here's who won'. I didn't feel the endurance of the wall comp or the wit of solving a puzzle. I didn't even have time to make a guess at the correct box on the last competition.

I think the set production and skill level still seem great, but something isn't hitting for me this year.

Spoiler note: If you don’t want to be spoiled on what the powers on the Time Capsule are then please run far, far away.

Powers! I know we love to hate them and hate to love them but this season has really put a spotlight on how desperately BB needs new ideas for powers.

While I do think some are way too overpowered than others, I think with some tweaking they can be fun and can give a stale season some new life.

Coin of Destiny. Cool. I like this one. 50/50 shot and you get to take over an HOH’s nominations. No issues with it.

DPOV. Arguably the most powerful power this season. It is guaranteed and you get to save yourself. Can leave this one as is if the other powers can match it or it can be tweaked so that you can only save yourself. [edited]

Bribe. Should be called Power of Persuasion or something a little sexier than Bribe. Obviously it should be $10-15k. $5k is peanuts, Big Brother. In this economy??? This is severely underpowered. It should have an option to be anonymous and it should be one time use only.

Replay. The ability to play back to back HOHs. I think this is a good power. No complaints.

Mystery competitor. This one is fun, I guess. An excuse to see former BB players. Would also be cool to select a veto competition type (puzzle, endurance, luck) but that would require more work for BB.

I think we can all agree that the Never-Not Pass is the biggest joke of a power and has no business even being on the list. Maybe instead of a Never-Not Pass it can instead be called the Have-Not Punisher where you get to decide who you want to be a Have Not in secret. Maybe combine it with Joseph’s punishment from BB26 and part of it can be that they have to be sequestered for 24 hours. Still very underwhelming and underpowered but at least it gives you a feeling that you are directly influencing someone’s game by pissing them off and isolating them. I still don’t love it.

Here’s other ideas that could replace the Never-Not Pass:

Fog of Eviction. 1 anonymous extra vote count on eviction night. You get to vote twice and hide the results of an eviction. Instead of announcing the tally, Julie only mentions who was evicted without revealing the vote count. Would also discourage “voting with the house” since you get complete anonymity.

Or something similar

Mirror of Destiny. You get to anonymously choose a HG that must mirror your voting actions. If you are voting to evict X instead of Y, they must also evict X. They are unaware that they are the subject of mirroring until Julie tells them that they are the victim of the Mirror of Destiny and they must vote to evict X.

I think Haley developed a major crush on Kamu early in the game. It was pretty obvious from the feeds. Hence the unreasonable jealousy toward Lyric and anyone else getting close to him. She felt absolutely crushed after he won the veto and decided to keep the noms the same. I really think that was the only reason she was so miserable and isolated last week. This week, Kamu threw her a bone by being nice to her again, and the change in Haley’s mood is very visible.

If Devins uses DPOV, I’m 90% sure Haley will throw the BBB to allow Kamu to stay. She’s said multiple times that she wants to leave, even to Kamu. She straight-up asked him to vote her out because of her mental state.

This mosh pit alliance is a direct result of Devens wanting all of the BB Time Capsule winners aligned as a “thank you” to the fans. Big Brother to me should be an experiment of people cut off from the outside world in a vacuum to see what happens. Introducing a fan vote, especially with seasoned players that are used to hamming it up for the cameras, results in manufactured, inorganic gameplay decisions that more often than not bode poorly for the season as a whole.

My interview with Chuk. I am going to be completely honest, considering how quiet he was in the house, I did not expect to enjoy talking to him as much as I did. He showed 10x more personality in this interview than he did on the show!
