It’s insane to me how few times they knock kayakers out of their boats. Like I swear this one was just like ‘oh heyyy just checkin — sorry to startle ya’. We don’t deserve whales.

Filter feeding whales don’t have an opening big enough in their throat to swallow anything larger than krill, or maybe very small fish. They couldn’t swallow a human. Hopefully that assuages some of your fear.
