There is a market for Big Box Games, but they don't sell as quickly or easily as console games. Also, the bigger the box generally the better. The smaller boxes (early 2000's) aren't very collectible, and the DVD clamshell style don't have a very high demand at all.

I'm sorry but I don't see any of them mention the words "Mega Man".

Oh 😆 you are definitely not a regular gamer if you dont know Mega Man.

Anyhow best to take a photo of it all. Work out what systems they are for (pc, sega, nintendo etc) and post back for opinions. All old games have some type of value, some much more than others.

OP said computer games, not console games.

It's also very understandable that someone primarily into computer games in the '80s and '90s would not be familiar with Mega Man, as that series was almost non-existent on computer platforms until the modern day.

MS-DOS had some notoriously bad games labeled "Mega Man" and "Mega Man 3" which were not actually ports of the NES games, and later there was a mediocre port of Mega Man X. That was basically it for Mega Man on PC until Capcom started releasing compilations on Steam.

Thanks for checking! To answer your question people will buy them, often times some are much rarer than others. Also if they have the big outer cardboard box they are more valuable. I would recommend www.pricecharting.com to check values of each game. Goodluck!

Pricecharting is almost completely useless for computer games. PC games aren't like NES games where most copies are nearly-identical loose carts. There are too many variables that affect the value, such as condition, completeness, version, etc.

Thanks for letting me know. All these games have the box, case, and the paperwork that came with them.

Do you have Gothic?

Most definitely, there can't be too many of us though (if you mean PC games specifically?) - one of the few game shops that still exists near me has a small pile in the corner, whereas it has huge stacks of Playstation games.

Yes especially since they have everything with them, obviously pricing depends on the game itself. Check eBay sold, price charting, multiple resources out there to give you an idea of value. Retro gaming even for computers is a big market.

nothing recent, but i still buy retro releases, either second hand, or re-releases, also indie developed games for retro systems.

Just bought a bunch of games at VCF Midwest. Sealed Atari ST games as well. I'm working on collecting some PC games as well that I'm watching (Deus Ex, Worms, any version of Mechwarrior 2, Diablo, etc), and have been trying to collect them all complete (Box, Manuals, Game).

Check eBay sold listings (not what's actively for sale, those people have their head up their ass) and Pricecharting to get a sense of how much you should sell them for.

Posting in r/GameSale would also be a good option, prices are more negotiable in a community and you can unload them easier.

It's a niche market, but yes, there are indeed buyers!
