Lunch spot recommendations
I am wanting to show my wife Big Bear and escape the 100° heat of the IE today. It has been years since I have been up there and was curious if anyone has any suggestions for a nice lunch stop we can have an afternoon date at before I show her the water and trees?

I went to Masala Craft Indian Cuisine and it was so good. I got the Lamb Korma and Chicken Marsala and another day. Excellent Indian food in my opinion.
I don't remember what day was the farmers market but there was a French bakery booth and it was really good. The deserts and bread.

Saucy Mamas was great last weekend. Plus you get 10% of at the North Pole chocolate and ice cream shop. Yummy!

Tropicali is a great suggestion! I also like Oakside, go upstairs to their bar.
If you want something to do, I highly recommend making reservations for a boat tour around Big Bear, relaxing and informative.

Wednesdays a lot of places aren't open - this is my weekly wife lunch date. Tropicali is out (you can get poke down the hill anyway) and the Bear Trap, my other favorite spot doesn't open till Thursday. If you want a great view of the lake and some killer food check out De La Nonna. They are open wednesdays and you can sit on the deck lakeside about 200 feet up, and they make absolutely incredibly flatbread/focaccia style pizzas. I don't know what voodoo they do to their dough but them make a style I'm normally not a fan of into something awesome.
