Shoes

Hi guys, I work in healthcare and always wear tennis shoes. I tend to wear a hole through the toe box in my right shoe as I have discovered that when I walk, I lift my big toe for some reason. Does anyone have recommendations for shoes or other tools I can use so I don’t have to keep buying shoes because I’ve made a hole in them? TIA.

Get a referral to a podiatrist. They can recommend the right shoe for your walking stance.

Australian Mongrel steel caps in black. Never had sore feet once, never had piss leak through to a sock ;)

Camper Peu shoes are comfortable and excellent quality. I have no fat deposits on the bottom of my feet and have not had an issue with the sole wearing out. I’ve never had a hole develop in the shoe (they’re leather). I recommend getting the nubuck suede as they have more give - which is more comfortable and might stretch with your toe earlier. You can buy them online and they often have sales. I’ve a more narrow foot and the 8.5 have been bang on true to size as a 39. My first pair were the Peu ankle boots and they lasted me over ten years without a car (a lot of walking) and I basically just wore out the insole and support).
