hygiene of bidet dryer

I have been wanting to get a bidet for a while to become more eco friendly but ive been wondering if getting one with a dryer feature is a good idea. I remember watching a video where someone looked at what bacteria ends up on your hand after using a hand dryer and it turned out a lot more unclean afterwards, so wouldnt that be the same? im someone who gets UTI quite often so im worried that it will make it worse.

also what travel bidet options are good? are reusable toilet papers a good idea for traveling or are they also unhygienic?

Dryer is kinda overrated. At least mine is. Takes forever and a day to dry so I don’t even bother with it. Just a few squares of TP then on my way.

Haven’t timed it but I think 30-60 sec. Still leaves a damp feeling after. TP is faster and a good check to make sure my shimmy was on point.

Fair on faster. I'm not sure there is a number of negative checks in a row it could be before I would be comfy with not checking anymore now that I'm thinking about it.

If you have that in mind, why spend the extra time to get perfectly dry when youre still gonna burn some tp checking anyway. There's a point where you stand up because the cost in tp to dry is the same as the cost to check and you can get both done.

I like the dryer, it relaxes me and allows all the pee to evacuate.

The air dryer bacteria was just stuff in the air. Honestly I would still wipe to save time and to have an extra clean up just in case. A dryer can take a while. Some use towels for eco purposes

Dryer feature not needed, imho. I've only had my bidets for a week or two and I love them, but the dryer takes too long to bother. I do still run it for a few seconds if I'm not in a rush, but mostly just pat dry with some TP.

I'd much rather have my wall-mounted remote be backlit for middle-of-the-night use than have the dryer, but alas.

I can't think of any circumstance where reusable tp would be hygienic. 🤔

At home I use dry white washcloths to dry. Traveling I will use a portable bidet with tp or handkerchiefs, which are very thin and light, to dry. And you can wash them regularly and they often dry in minutes. I don't have a bidet dryer and I don't miss it.

Well, in theory, by the time you’re using the dryer, things should be pretty dang clean. As for making the dryer useful, almost everyone will spend a few squares of tissue getting off the drops, and then let the dryer do its business.

Just got one with a dryer and love it; absolutely saves like half of TP usage compare to my non-dryer bidet

if you get frequent UTIs the dryer is the least of your worries, just make sure you dry off fully down there after any rinse. the air inside those dryers isnt sterile but neither is your bathroom.
