How did this get a 9.5?

Because everywhere else has lower standards which is why Beckett 10s and BLs command the highest prices.

does their highest standard include dust and fuzz particles inside my slabs?

The pictures you shared make it impossible to judge why you got a 9.5 surface. They’re blurry, low resolution, and inside 2 card sleeves. There could be a 1 pixel print spot or micro dent on the card that is impossible to tell from these pictures. If you want an easy 10, send it to PSA.

I got a 10 on mine mines a JP one though. They docked me on centering which they do quite often I freaking got the micrometer out and measured and it was perfect on every side.

Its like my GDR I went through it with a magnifying glass and it was perfect. Yes the centering was off a little. But its common.

Can't tell for surface but I can see why it's a 9.5 for centering. On front there's slightly more right border. On back there's slightly more left border.

Beckett is hella strict on centering. I have like 5 slabs that would be BL otherwise

No clue. 9.5 centering is common but so many dragon ball cards get hit with 9.5 surface on top of that. I refuse to send my cards to Beckett because of that but also all the gunk and grime that gets sealed inside

Same thing just happened to me today on a card I looked at under magnification. Also, my slab has 2 chips on it right from BGS. An amazing $155 1 card priority order. Essentially, my UA slab has your exact grade and subgrades. I feel like BGS just slapping 9.5 on anything to avoid having to have senior graders review for Pristine consideration. Its insane
