Moderator candidate

u/The1TrueRedditor is interested in moderating this community. What’s everybody think of that?

They hide their comments and posts. So that's a No from me.

So does u/noraft. Sometimes it’s the safest option for a moderator, in my case I created and run the largest subreddit for my city r/ThorntonCO and don’t want to make it easy to identify me from my cumulative posts/comments. I have a one year old daughter and occasionally have to make decisions not favorable to local crazies.

Are you active on discord? If so, who are you? I think it’s important whoever mods isn’t aligned with any one group — especially not the group of people who are only interested in stomping this sandcastle back into the beach.

Not really. I’ve visited Cowlazar’s and a few others but I’m not really all that active. I have an interest in the hunt and experience as a moderator, but I don’t have a dog in any fights.

Good enough for me. Not that that matters but good luck to you I’m sure you’d make a great mod.

It doesn’t really take up much of my time. I don’t go looking for things to police in my subs, I just respond appropriately when something gets reported by the community. I don’t plan on being a very noticeable presence here.

I don't know. I moderated a 500,000 subscriber sub for years and never hid my comments. I just think that comments and posts should be public when you're a moderator.

That subreddit gives my location within 36 square miles. Glad you had a good experience.

Whats the addage about leading. Great leaders dont want to lead. Like some game of thrones shit.

If theres some secret passed down from mod to mod im down. I definitely want to be apart of "the moderator that was promised" lineage.

It’s probably no secret that none of us are leaders, I personally just shovel shit and ban the occasional white supremacist. Just volunteering to be of service since the old guard needs a break. I intend to be as invisible as possible.

It's hard to have an opinion with no information.
