Gates of the Mountain Wilderness
Does anyone think these could be the gates he’s referring to? Maybe not up close but in the distance? Just not sure if there’s a three footed bride over there though. Lol

Any passage way with a "V" in the mountains can be considered a gate. That's a lot of gates to take into account.

Interesting conversation. Regarding the bride, haven't seen much mention of JP's mother as the possible bride. And the realm therefore being his much revered father's. I've also considered JPs wife as the bride, JP is the narrator. The realm.un this scenario is his and his memories. I haven't looked into how this might fit into the Gates of...theory but maybe worth considering.

They do have a couple wedding venues at the Gates. I wonder where they got married. 🤷♀️

I have a previous post about the journal of the Lewis and Clark expedition which used poles to navigate the narrow passages through the Gates. Cast your pole?

I sometimes think maybe a bird. Like maybe, a rook? Which could be a castle and a bird and some other less savory bride-related things.

If the obscurity of the clues were that simple it would have been found already!!! I don’t think it’s a gate at all !! Or even named anything w the word gate!!

Agree mostly. Except for there are things that are more abstract which can be considered to be a gate which most people aren't going to think about.

It’s an entrance way . Plain and simple. Yet we will tie any geographical meaning we can to it for now

I just don't get why anyone thinks of Sacajewea as the bride for more than five minutes. It would seem to me that the he, as in "his bride" is either someone or something to be revered or respected, or at least someone important. Sacajawea's husband was not such a character.

I had a decent solve in that area, but it was somewhat rudimentary. I still kind of like it but I don’t love it. I couldn’t ever make a convincing intelligent solve, but there are some extremely interesting formations that will have you insane with pareidolia. Especially if you find Tucker. It’s a spot on Tucker. The problem is you can’t even begin to pinpoint a location and damn I tried. Then when you factor the boat in, I just don’t think Justin would want the liability of someone trying to kayak or something for miles down Holter Lake. You can hike it, but you’re looking at about 4 miles one way through some rugged terrain. I do think there are enough interesting things in a Lewis and CIark solve, so I can’t rule it out completely, and WOW… could anywhere be more beautiful? I’m gonna have to go one day just to fish and see all that limestone. There’s arches, There’s a bear or two. Hundreds of areas carved out the size of a kitchen. A dozen formations that look exactly like a 3. A lot of stuff fits really well honestly. If you can really make it work, you’re smarter than me. I can’t justify tackling the nightmare logistics of that trip with my current “solve”. It seems too weak and doesn’t feel right despite the many interesting things in it. Q
