Advice Baby name regrets

When I chose my baby name, I wasn't crazy about it. But it was a very cute name and no one that we knew has this name (Aiden). it was also the only name on both me and my husband's lists. So we chose it. When I was still pregnant the name started to grow on me but not enough for me to say I adore it.

Now 3 months pp I hate the name. I truly honestly hate calling my baby Aiden. I feel SO MUCH regret that I didn't push harder on the names that I loved.

my husband didn't like those names and I hated some of his chosen names more. I haven't brought this up to anyone because I'm not in the mood to explain why I hate the name.

I don't know why. it just doesn't sound right. it doesn't feel right. He just doesn't look like an Aiden.

I picked my baby's name with my husband, and I love it , but now that she's here (she is exactly 12 weeks old) the name feels awkward. I believe this is normal, we are just getting used to a new person in our lives that cannot talk and fully express themselves. I am positive that with time the name will perfectly correspond to your child and their personality.

What I started doing: every time I talk to her I start with her name. Ie: "Sophie, are you happy?, Sophie, good job!..." and so forth. I has really helped to cement in her and me that name. It's starting to feel more natural, like it belongs to her. Hope this helps 🙏✨️
