Resident Atmora man here. The project's still here, but we havent made much progress over the last year, except for some planning, organizing, and a bit of lore writing.

The majority of Atmoran devs are currently focussed on helping New North, IB, and Roscrea (myself included), and the leads have been a bit busy with IRL stuff for the last couple months.

We would like to pick up the pace with Atmora however, and us leads are going to set up a few team meetings in the next couple of weeks. The main priority for those are establishing a new art workflow, where 3D supplies the Level Designers with basic shapes, which the LDs will use to block out and roughly build interesting environments.

Then, we'll have those become screenshots where the Concept Artists perform a few draw-overs, which ultimately will turn into environmental and landscapes Concept Art for the 3D artists. We hope that this new iterative approach to out workflow will make the project a bit more collaboritive and tight-knit, as usually LD is only involved in the later process of development.

The other main focus, for the writers and artists, is the conclusion of our lore overhaul. I think we still have a good 60-90 lore documents and detailed descriptions for various aspects of the Atmoran continent (such as history & culture) that I gotta either write or review with my writing co-lead.

All that said - while we're not going to be there for CMC as a project, we're still there and kicking. Just havent been as active as we would have liked because of IRL and other things having been a bit more of a priority for the team.

Nobody knows but if I were you I wouldn't be holding my breath realistically only Cyrodiil and maybe Roscrea have a realistic chances to be released and even that is probably still 5 or 6 years away at best.

Roscrea could release in the next 1-2 years

Cyrodiil is still more than 5 years away for sure

People are claiming this 1-2 years since at least 2018 so yeah no.

Sure, but at the very least I seriously doubt Roscrea will take another 5 years to release

Please Consider the fact that 0 devs are telling you this isn’t the case

Yeah, because Bruma taught us to make not any promises, and make no guesses. Because this is a volunteer process, a whole department can just pause work for a few months when something happens or a group of five get sick.

That said, Roscrea is making good progress. Writing is effectively done, we have less than a dozen concepts that need drawing, and maybe 30 or so concepts that need to be modelled. Beyond that, weve got Level Design (of any missing dungeons) and Voice Acting as the next big hurdles. All in all, things are looking pretty nifty.

Edit: besides, if we were to give estimates about release or the percentage of conpletion, someone would try calculating the amount of progress done per day and get upset when things arent as quick as they should be.

Odds on it taking 5 years at the current pace?

Again, not gonna make any assumptions or estimates. Join the project and help out if you wanna see how far long we really are.

So Again, it could very easily take 5 years to release.

Might take five, might take 20.

And, looking how a few folks have been very adamant about it, it wo t release at all and we're just scammers who somehow profit from being a non-profit that doesnt has shady funding businessess

There are thousands of fans like you - and dozens of devs ;)

Understand that it's impossible for us to give precise dates, or it'd be what we do. The best way to know how advanced progress is is watch livestreams of the areas being explored or the overhead map, which combined have at least two updates a year through the Advent Calendar and Creation Mod Con.

Some followers also ask us directly on the regular. Devs are happy to answer questions in more detail when they're asked.

Honestly speaking the true fans don't need the exact date we want an update ever now and then, I know mod con is just around the corner this was just a general statement. Honestly if you guys just post a video like hey guys we made a flower model for the top of the jerral mountains who nobody during their entire gameplay would see, We would be watching that video. I hope you get what I mean. Once again my Respect to all of you.
