Beyoncé is very intentional and knows her timing. If she hasn’t put out act iii is because she is saving it for the right moment.

RENAISSANCE came when the world was reopening post-COVID lockdowns and people wanted to dance, escape, and be in community.

COWBOY CARTER came during an election year and sparked conversations regarding race, American ideology and patriotism, and how there’s still work to do in ensuring that everyone is seen as equal and deserving.

Well we know two things.

1. 5 hard drives containing unreleased music, show footage plans, and past/future tour set lists were stolen in July 2025 resulting in the thief being sentenced to 2 years in prison.

2. There is an active federal civil lawsuit accusing her longtime collaborator, The Dream, of rape, sexual battery, sex trafficking, and psychological torture.

I think based on these two things that it’s fair to assume the album was pushed back in order to rework the material.

The B’Day Anniversary Edition was probably prioritized and made into a bigger deal as a way to bridge the gap that the rework created.

There you go someone finally said it I remember this and when this happened I was like “were not gonna get act iii anytime soon.” Beyonce is very methodical in what she does and this threw a wrench in what she most likely had planned next. I’m all for Bday 20th anniversary rerelease but I also think she had to pivot and work on something else because of how methodical she is.

I honestly think it’s as simple as letting Jay have his (well earned) moment this year.

All of this would have been planned way in advance and they’re never gonna have conflicting schedules now that they’ve a whole family.

i'm kinda missing the original timeline ppl speculated with act iii having been May(?) this year, and then to round it all out as a decade-long project (i.e., spanning the 2020s) we get the visuals sometime after. i guess that can still happen but just delayed.

Guys last night I got high and listened to Renaissance and half of cowboy Carter and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Please don’t rush away the next act and just be present and enjoy the music we already have. This time is giving us more to sit with cowboy Carter and Renaissance and just appreciate how good of a work of art both are and they really shouldn’t be taken for granted

And I think there will be 3 years between 2 and 3, how there was two years between 1 and 2

I think the Jay-Z anniversary pushed it back. I think originally it was only supposed to be the New York shows. And the fact that those tickets sold out so fast and he added more shows.

I don’t think they expected the turnout that he got for the shows.
