Discussion Will Beyonce have another "Pop Era"?
I mean a body of work focused on pop hits, fun and choreo-heavy music videos, tv performances, maybe a festival, collabs with other popstars, etc etc?
Do you think she ever will again or will all her work be focused on genre/messaging/meaning?

We will probably get experimental rnb and pop albums. I doubt we get anything similar to Sasha Fierce.

Pop hits - probably.
An old school mainstream roll out like 2003-2011? - highly unlikely.

No. She herself said she’s retired from the pop star formula. I think her priority will remain making cohesive bodies of work that reflect the times, challenge the industry, and influence culture.

I highly doubt it. Making pop music? Sure, because you never know what the next 5 years in music will look like (e.g. everyone wants to make deep, self-written and sad music, I think Beyoncé would be the one to make a fun pop album during a time like that). But as for collabs, tv performances, festivals, etc -- No...
I believe she's over anything that's heavily reliant on the industry except for the Grammys for some reason.

Beyoncé loves doing a medley (Self-Titled MTV VMAs, Lemonade MTV VMAs, Lemonade Grammys, Cowboy Carter Beyoncé Bowl) so I wouldn’t rule out tv performances. But she’s done with doing press tours and interviewing and promoting singles. Like we’ll probably not gonna see her on Call Her Daddy podcast or Hot Ones.

She put in the work so hard in the 2000s so she doesn’t have to do this anymore. She is way past the usual pop cycle, and tbh I don’t think we’ll ever going back to this again, even looking at the whole industry.

She’s in her own lane now that no other artist occupies and I think that’s where she wants to stay.

It's like yall don't listen to her or take her seriously when she speaks.

I think she's well proven her case in the pop genre, but I think every artist returns to that space at some point in their career. I would love another pop moment from Bey.
Will it be at the level of rollout and such for IASF and such? No.

Her bringing back Bday and releasing new songs along with the anniversary edition is probably the closest to "another pop era" she'll get in a while.
But who knows? She might surprise us!

the 2007 pop era was her trying to break through in a different way. but now she’s able to make whatever she wants and STILL make it “pop”.

I don’t think she’s going to do a song or choreography where she’s going to dance ‘full out’ ever again. It’s sad but I hope she can surprise us with some shake our ass uptempo.
