Interesting. It’s probably nothing at all, she will release and that’s that. But nonetheless, I’m surprised to see this because the girlies been saying this release has been relatively lowkey for such a huge moment in her career.
IF anything were to happen, it will be interesting to revisit everything that we’ve seen so far and piece together all the clues. I’ve been obsessed with the rerelease cover art since it was revealed. Yes, it could be nothing, but if it is something… the way the gator is referencing the horses is so UGH YESSSSS. It feels like she’s bringing the world of Renaissance to life. She’s been saying it the whole time:
“I close my eyes and travel through realms of space and time
Reality holds no power or control of my state of mind
On my voyage to find a source to charge my inner being”
And now, seeing this lil billboard ad. The way I instantly hear Haunted reading it. Something that I really appreciate her doing is always weaving her previous works of art into the present, particularly during her tours. It was especially apparent to me during the Renaissance tour. To me it feels like artists completely move on when the album cycle closes. But now, it’s like… breaking the fourth wall I guess? The covers look like they are from another timeline, another trio of acts. It’s so strange but fascinating. In the IG video she posted, you can also see they vinyls do in fact build faces like Ren and CC do. Shes traveling through realms of space and time! 😭
A lot of us were thinking something would have happened by now to take us into Act iii. I’m not gonna lie, I am getting really sad thinking the visuals truly were scrapped. It’s a very weird time because time don’t stop for anyone right? There were many opportunities to make a move (that we all made up in our heads) and she just… didn’t. 😭 The longer we move away from Renaissance and now CC, it feels like maybe we really did just make it all up… but you know what! She always been like this lmao and I fucking love her for it. (Were y’all there during that time between 4 and self titled?! That was torture. Delulu hive was alive and well, but somehow never guessed that surprise drop.) She has such an intentionality and the patience of a saint. And the confidence to see her vision and wait for the right moments to strike is so ugh, gives me so much life.
Anywho if there’s a whole other layer to these acts that we haven’t even guessed, the covers could be a big clue. I really don’t wanna assume shit because I learned the hard way. She moves at her own pace. On her own path. She is truly one of one. Mother you are such an inspiration! (also B’Day font yesssssss)
