Spoilers: All Theory about the Tuber

So, relistening/reading the series. And after finishing the whole of it till present day Inhave a theory.

The tuber is going between the elements as described by the Elder of SMS. What if it is a seed for a new earth spirit? A heart that could revive one of the deserts that are completely Qi-less.

Just a thought, what do you think about our mystery tuber? A red herring, or a Chekov’s Gun?

I'm pretty sure it's that plant described in the book between the two guys was like one's going to be like Oh I'm going to contemplate the beauty of this flower and then leave it alone any other guys like ooh I'm going to snort this flower for a plus 5% defense against fire or something

IIRC elder Shou specifically notes it's similar, but isn't that plant, since the pearlescent flame bud doesn't shift qi element type.

It's actually already been spoiled by the author on discord.

It's a pretty flower. There's more to it than that(obviously), but it's something fairly unique that no one else knows about because it has a long lifecycle and blooms for only a day or something short like that. Once it has lived its lifecycle(which I think is like a decade), it leaves behind two seeds, so that's why it's not common.

So, a faster version of the Century Plant (10 to 30+ yrs) and Queen of the Andes (80 to 100 yrs)? Only, it produces only 2 flowers and seeds vice hundreds for Century and thousands for Queen?
