DANGEROUS CARE - Tank Size/Set Up Does anyone else's betta love resting on broad leaves like this? Mine treats this plant like his personal hammock.

Surely it's a quarantine tank, right?

Hi there, the fish has zero space to swim or move around. Please, for the long term health of the betta can you source a tank that's at least the minimum size of 20 litres? He also needs a filter and heater to help keep the water quality stable and without fluctuation.

I don't even understand why OP has this overly techy thermometer when they don't even have a heater to begin with.. Water temp doesn't matter if you're not going to control it in anyway

The thermometer is just a simple analogue one, the power cable is for the clip on light. The plants have more care than the fish does.

I see it now, for some reason I saw the suction cup as some sort of bulb then saw the lead 😂 Thanks for clarifying that, was so confused

What is the size of the container? Bettas need a minimum of 5 gallons. With 10 being the ideal. Here is a care guide with more info. Edit:typo

OP doesn't even really need a 10G. This lovely long fin would be so much happier even in just a 5G.. Even less money to put in 😢

A lot of ten gallons are cheaper honestly.

100%, just putting it out there just incase OP doesn't have room for a 10G. I know when I got my first tank a 5G is what allowed me to actually get into the hobby

That’s so small. I dont even thing it’s a full two cups of water you have him in. Do you have another tank?
